When we were asked to step in to style Fran’s wedding hair last weekend, we were more than happy to help. 💍✨

The morning at 🌳Luxurious Accommodation & Exclusive Venue was filled with smiles as we styled Fran’s bridal hair, the mother of the bride’s blow-dry, the sister’s modern twist, and an elegant hair-up for the mother of the groom.

KATY & HARRY - The most beautiful day for the most wonderful couple. When a group of people welcome me so warmly in a matter of seconds I know I’m in for a good day. For a couple that “didn’t like their picture taken”, they sure as hell look like supermodels. No posing for hours here, simple captured naturally throughout the day with a brief 5 minute “can you stand in front of this wall…trust me” moment. Well, wasn’t Gagan and Aaron’s wedding on Saturday just brilliant!? 🤩 What a cracking group of pals they’ve got too. I had the privilege of photographing their wonderful friends’ Carrie and Ben’s wedding 2 years ago, and the reunion with them and all their fantastic friendship group was a hoot. Iconic dance floor moves from well known wedding-heroes James, Dave and Robbie (to name a few) will go down in history. James & Robbie’s unforgettable coordinated dance routine to Murder on the Dancefloor, forged together in a bedroom as teenagers, now graces weddings across the UK every time this group gets together and I had the honour of capturing it! 🤍 Enough of those show stealers though!! Gagan and Aaron’s wedding was beautiful from start to finish. Proud parent moments from both sides, it was lovely seeing both Aaron’s Mum and Gagan’s put bridal bangles on her arms together in the Indian tradition. Gagan’s Dad walking her down the aisle and immediately into the most confident handshake to Aaron I’ve ever seen - it was perfect and again, iconic! In the evening, the sky cleared and a stunning golden hour bathed the Rudding Park estate in beautiful sunlight. I rushed Gagan and Aaron outside before the sun dipped behind a bank of cloud. I love it when couples are so lucky to get a clear evening, the sunset light is my favourite. Anna & Joseph got married at Town End Farm yesterday, and it was my first time photographing a wedding there. What a perfect backdrop for this crazy-in-love couple. Their journey began back in 2019 with a swipe right, followed by pizza and a questionable movie choice for a first date. Whatever the film was, it clearly worked, because here we are! Everyone got ready on-site, with hair and makeup beautifully done by Emily from Makeup Artists Yorkshire. This wedding was a little different, as there wasn't a dress reveal or first look – the couple had secretly tied the knot at a local church two weeks earlier. Once everyone was ready, it was time for Anna to make her way down the aisle, where Joseph was waiting nervously. The weather was certainly on our side, with the rain holding off at all the right moments, allowing the couple and their guests to enjoy being outside for most of the day. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks, conversations, and lawn games while we explored the farm for some relaxed portraits. The stunning grounds gave us plenty of opportunities to create beautiful images together. Inside, we were treated to plenty of heartfelt speeches before moving into the evening celebrations. Before long, it was time for the cake cutting and first dance, with Franksy Mob DJ keeping the dance floor packed and the music flowing all night. Thank you for having me, Mr & Mrs Grimbleby. Effortless chic for Katy ✨

Such a lovely morning looking after Katy and her wedding party in Buttercrambe, York.

Following Katy’s trial, we made a couple of tweaks to create the perfect bridal look. We softened the eye makeup with a neutral matte shadow to keep everything natural while still adding definition. We also changed the hairstyle from a half-up look to wearing it down in loose, effortless waves.
It’s always a pleasure working together to refine every detail and achieve the perfect result for the big day.
Most importantly, Katy left feeling confident, beautiful, and the very best version of herself. 🤍
