📣A little shout-out today to some of my wonderful self-employed colleagues & friends 📣

😕The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for me following the fire & the loss of our home & belongings. 😢

🐎My work has been a genuine lifeline giving me purpose, familiarity & something positive to hold on to during a time when so much has changed 🐕

☀️At the same time, the recent extreme heat has made working safely with animals incredibly challenging 😥 Many brilliant therapists, trainers & animal-care professionals have had to cancel, postpone or rearrange appointments & classes, often losing income in the process 🙈

🙃For a self-employed person, cancelling work is never an easy decision (generally, not an option for me ever) There is no paid day off, yet the welfare of the animals must always come first 🙋‍♀️

😎We are all struggling in the heat alongside our animals & we are doing our very best to reach you earlier, later or adapt visits wherever possible to keep everyone safe & comfortable 😉

Zen puppy dogs during their drop in visits this afternoon ☀️✨

Loui 🖤

A relationship built on trust is the most powerful foundation for communication. Loui’s owner and I carefully considered our approach, allowing Loui to feel safe enough to fully relax in his home environment.

Seeing him melt into treatment and lean into areas of tension was such a lovely moment. He absolutely loved cranial massage, especially around those big ears! 🥰

Thank you Loui & his mum for such a relaxing session & for the gorgeous flowers 🌷

Oh Mr T..👹

As soon as the camera came out during Tarkas session so did the teeth! 😂

A fab session with Tarka melting into his massage, using new techniques, followed by some really good feedback post therapy! Thank you Tarka for being a super case study to learn from! 🥰

Early morning walks in summer ☀️

Before it gets too hot, everything feels a little calmer. Slower walks, woodland air, birds in the background and dogs just being dogs 🤍

Another assessment day session, sweet girly Kea 💛

Such a good opportunity to work on gradually building pressure with a more sensitive dog. Giving her breaks when needed, then slowly introducing more digit work and touch in areas she’d previously chosen to move away from.

A great learning experience!
