Every guest dined beneath twinkling archways, with hanging tea lights above and cascading clematis and David Austin garden roses surrounding them, all filled with the beautiful scent of summer blooms. A ceiling of pure wonder, transforming from day to night.

What an incredible day yesterday celebrating Stella and Will as they finally became Mr & Mrs Hurd! From a church ceremony to a marquee reception in Stella’s family garden.

Their story began with a Hinge match during lockdown, Stella hopping on a train to Glasgow for what was meant to be a coffee date. Three hours later, Will hadn’t run away despite Stella doing most of the talking, and that afternoon became the start of forever. Fast forward to a sunny day in the walled garden at Stella’s family home, where Will pretended to set his phone up for a selfie before getting down on one knee. Simple, heartfelt, and completely them. Yesterday they returned to the very same place to celebrate with 170 of their favourite people, and it couldn’t have been more special.

Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, adventures, and the family you’ve always dreamed of. ❤️

MARQUEES

There’s something genuinely magical about the idea of a luxury wedding marquee.

A blank canvas, set in a place that means something to you: your family home, a borrowed field, a garden you’ve loved for years.

But that blank canvas is also where the challenges begin.

Because unlike a traditional venue, a marquee wedding means you’re building everything from scratch.

And without the right support, the gaps in planning can catch even the most organised couples completely off guard.

After years working as a marquee wedding planner across the home counties and Isle of Wight, I’ve seen the same mistakes come up time and again.

Not because couples aren’t thoughtful (they are), but because there’s so much that simply isn’t obvious until you’ve done it before.

So as we are approaching the marquee season I will be offering some honest advice and guidance over the next few weeks to what goes wrong and how a marquee wedding planner can help you get ahead.
