New Zeeland Matawhero Winemaker Dinner - SAVE THE DATE !

Our lovely wine suppliers are delighted to announce that Kirsten Searle from will be hosting a winemaker dinner in Tunbridge Wells on Friday September 6th.

Kirsten’s background has given her a solid foundation to be at the helm at Matawhero.

Her previous life was at Villa Maria Estate, where her passion for wines was ignited. Upon moving to Gisborne in 2002 to marry Richard (and mid-way through starting their family) her winery roots were re-activated when Matawhero became available for sale. Kirsten and Richard’s “dependents” suddenly became three children under four, a dog, a cat, a vineyard and an old winery. As with managing a family, considerable time, focus and patience is required to reintroduce a dormant, yet legendary, wine label back to the market.

Kirsten will be showcasing their range of white wines including Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc & Sauvignon Blanc as well as their Merlot. The evening will feature a 3-course meal to accompany these stunning wines from the New Zealand.

Arrivals 7.00pm for 7.30pm start at Tunbridge Wells with carriages at 10.15pm. There are a limited number of tickets available for this event and tickets cannot be reserved unless paid for in full.

Having recently qualified for her level three hairdressing VRQ, Heidi is now our vardering apprentice at the Taw Salon. Vardering is an intensive training process that every hairdresser under the Taw umbrella will undergo. This an essential step to honing skills, whilst teaching our brand philosophy, core values and education to an exceptional level.

Introducing Natalie Piacun – the other half of team Taw.

Natalie is a professional Make-up Artist and beauty writer based in Tunbridge Wells, where she co owns the Taw hair salon and event space. Working internationally across the board in music, advertising, fashion, and television commercials. Natalie is renowned for her beautiful, flawless skin and a refined touch. Her clients include the likes of Alexander McQueen, Adidas, Netflix and Valentino and she has worked across many an editorials such as Tatler, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar and Wonderland.

Natalie is currently developing a health and beauty app where she hopes to re-shape the health and beauty landscape to educate, inform and inspire.
