Normally I would stamp my soap bars landscape but as the latest batch of Hinterland soap bars look like one, I might have to do it portrait π
Superfatted with hydrating organic tomato seed oil from food industry waste, combined with the earthy scents of cedarwood, patchouli and resinous frankincense, Hinterland gives you a deeply nourishing and soothing wash with a long lasting aroma. For hands, face and body.
With French rose Clay, French green clay, Kaolin clay and Activated charcoal.

Soap shavings
I keep them in a box whilst I decide what to do with them. It smells divine!
This landed in my inbox this morning and made my day.
Tracey found us at Shoreham market and went home with one of our soap on a ropes - cypress, clary sage and palmarosa with camellia tea seed oil in the superfat. One of my favourites to make. The scent is quiet and resinous and it lingers.
We'll be back at Shoreham on Saturday 25 July. See you there, Tracey βΊοΈπΏ

July's gentle almanac | a little late, as has become tradition.
The Buck Moon rises on the 29th. St Swithin's Day is the 15th. Lavender is at its peak right now and worth picking before it goes over. The recipe this month is a lavender and honey panna cotta that tastes exactly like the month should.
The formula is a lavender and calendula facial oil - both plants at their fullest in July, both good for summer skin that needs a quiet end to the day.
And Lammas Eve on the 31st - the old harvest threshold. The year turning before we're ready for it.
Swipe through for the full almanac.
I had to use the amazing views of yesterday at National Trust Clergy House, Alfriston to showcase my recent makes!

Marbling & outside working | sanding in the sun.
It's so nice to have the outdoor space to work in during the summer months! The incense bowls are sealed with an outdoor proof sealant and are super functional. Also individually made - I couldn't get two exactly the same if I tried.
Not yet available online but you can contact me for more details if interested and I deliver locally ππΏ
If you'd like to smell like summer.
Azura is neroli, clary sage and lemon, bright and clean with just enough depth to stay on your skin after the lather washes away.
Inside the bar: French green clay to clarify, organic camellia tea seed oil in the superfat to settle the skin after.
Cold process. Small batch. Brighton made.

A gentle almanac | June
A little late as ever, which feels appropriate for the month that makes you forget what day it is.
The Strawberry Moon falls on the 30th this year. St John's Wort is flowering now if you know where to look, pick it when the buds just open and the tips stain your fingers red. Love that β£οΈ
Midsummer's Eve is the 20th. Light a fire if you can and notice the year at its highest point before it starts to turn.
The full almanac gives you moons, tides, what's in the kitchen, a St John's Wort infused oil you can start this week, elderflower and strawberry fool and the old tradition of the midsummer fire.
