The less glamorous part of pigmentation treatment is often the part doing the most work: consistent daily protection.

If you want a plan that fits real life, not a perfect routine designed for a bathroom shelf, book a consultation.

You can invest in treatments, home care and brightening products…

But if your daily protection is inconsistent, pigmentation can keep coming back louder.

UV exposure can darken existing pigment, and one good clinic treatment cannot cancel repeated exposure.

SPF matters.

Reapplication matters.

Consistency matters.

The less glamorous part of your pigmentation plan is often the part doing the most work.

Book a consultation and let’s build a plan you can actually stick to.💚

Chemical peels should be selected and performed by an experienced practitioner.

A tailored plan is considerably more useful than a comment section.

A chemical peel can be a useful tool for the right person and the right type of pigmentation.

It is not a one-size-fits-all “holiday damage eraser”. We assess first, select carefully and set realistic expectations.

Can a chemical peel lift post-holiday pigmentation?

Sometimes. But that’s not the whole answer.

After summer, pigmentation can suddenly look more noticeable. And it’s tempting to think the answer is simply to peel it away.
But not all pigmentation is the same.

Sun-related pigmentation, melasma and marks left behind after inflammation can behave differently, which means they don’t necessarily need the same treatment.

For some suitable clients, a carefully selected chemical peel can help improve the appearance of superficial pigmentation and uneven skin tone.

But timing matters.

If your skin is inflamed, sensitised, recently tanned or struggling with its barrier, rushing into a stronger treatment may not be the right first step.

This is why we always come back to the same thing:
Consultation first. Treatment second.

We assess what we’re actually looking at, how your skin is behaving and what it can safely tolerate, then build the plan from there.

If summer has left you with pigmentation you’re not sure what to do with, book a skin consultation via the link in bio.💚

Pigmentation is not a diagnosis.

And it is definitely not one treatment.

A brown patch can have different causes, depths and triggers.

Sun-related spots can behave differently from melasma.

A mark left after acne, irritation or inflammation is different again.

Hormonal change may play a part too, but assumptions are not enough.

This is why guessing rarely works.

The wrong intensity, the wrong timing or the wrong product can leave skin more reactive, especially when pigmentation-prone skin is already sensitive.

A useful plan considers your skin, your lifestyle, your budget and the season.

It also considers what your skin can realistically tolerate.

You do not need the trendiest treatment.

You need the right sequence.

Book your consultation and let’s build the right plan for your skin.💚

Product ordering is getting an upgrade.

And honestly?
It was time.

We know the old system was not always as smooth as it should have been.
There were delays.
There were back-and-forth messages.
There was the occasional “has this been ordered yet?” moment.

So we are making things easier.
DermaGuru is moving most product ordering over to GetHarley where Rob can create your own personalised online skincare shelf.

Your shelf will include the products recommended specifically for your skin, so you can order or replenish them whenever you need and have them delivered straight to your door.
Less faff.
Less waiting.
Less skincare admin.
Same professional advice.
Same personalised guidance.
A much smoother experience.

When you say it is “just sun damage”, I am already asking five more questions.

Because pigmentation is not always one simple problem.

Where it is, when it appeared, whether it changes with the seasons, your hormones, inflammation, skin history and previous products all matter.

Before we decide how to treat pigment, we need to understand what we are looking at.

That is exactly what your consultation is for.

Book a consultation before buying the next product.

If your tan has faded but the patches have not, you are not imagining it.
September is when a lot of clients notice pigmentation looking darker, stronger or more obvious after summer.

But the answer is not always to attack the skin with the strongest brightening product, peel or active you can find.
Pigmentation-prone skin needs strategy.

UV, heat, inflammation, hormones and over-40 skin changes can all affect what you see.
And not all pigmentation is the same.

Sun spots, melasma and post-inflammatory marks may all need a different approach.

That is why consultation comes first.

We look at your skin, your pattern of pigmentation, your current routine, your sensitivity and what your skin can realistically tolerate.
Then we build the plan.

Stop guessing at the bathroom mirror.
