My baby's first interlock... bless him! 🥹💚

About five weeks ago, my business partner Sistique Beautique started his loc journey with plaits. Today, I completed his very first interlock, as his roots had already begun to bud beautifully.

He's almost 3 years old, and although his hair is soft, it's also thick and healthy enough to begin the loc journey. As always, I use as little tension as possible, allowing his hair to grow and mature naturally.

I'm so proud to say that his hair and scalp are in phenomenal condition because the only products we've ever used are Nature's Love Products. 🌿 Healthy hair starts with healthy maintenance.

Every child is different, which is why I always recommend a consultation first. Around the age of 3 is often a lovely time to consider starting locs, but every child's hair develops differently. Together, we'll assess your child's hair and decide if the time is right.

💚 A little update...

Many of you have been asking if I'll still be operating from my lovely home salon.

The answer is YES! 🥰

My home salon holds such a special place in my heart. It was lovingly built for me by my daddy and purchased with "old money" left to me by my late Grandad Campbell. ❤️

It's truly a legacy and such a blessing to have been given the parents and grandparents that I have. My grandad left me far more than money—he showed me the love of Christ through the way he lived, loved, and cared for his family. That is an inheritance I will treasure forever. ✝️💚

Appointments at my home salon will continue subject to days, times and availability, while I also welcome clients at The Place Self Care & Coffee Bar.

On 15 June 2021, I wrote:

“One day I will write a book of some kind, to help others heal… watch this space.”

At the time, I didn’t know how or when it would happen. I just knew that writing brought healing to me, and I wanted my words to help others find healing and peace too.

Five years later, I can look back and see just how faithful Yah has been. 😭📖
