Dougal update 🐾 4 weeks later, he’s doing so well, physio appointment tomorrow . Thankyou all for asking about him ❤️
If you’ve struggled to get an appointment with me or buy a surfboard from , we’re sorry. This poor boy Dougal has been keeping us busy. Two weeks ago he suffered an FCE, also known as a spinal stroke caused by compressed discs in his spine. A piece of disc material shot into the blood supply that serves the spinal cord, paralysing him. Thankfully this is temporary and with continued physio, massage, heat and ice he should make a full recovery. He had to have emergency spinal operation at the literally amazing who we cannot thank enough. As soon as we got there, we knew Dougal would be safe in the hands of Colin and the fabulous nurses and receptionists. I’ve never cried so much, apologies to Nutes vets for my ugly crying, and thankyou to them for wonderful care - sending out two fabulous nurses and a stretcher to get Dougal to the vets.
