You might think having a strict time schedule would take the relaxed feel out of the morning, but I'm here to tell you why it helps to CREATE that relaxed feeling. Read on to find out how...

No.1 It keeps everyone on time and shows clearly who needs to be in the chair and for which service. No chasing people around!

No.2 It gives a guide as to how long each service takes. Some of the wedding party may have longer/thicker hair, some may want more or less makeup applied, but having a guide per service means everyone gets enough time in the chair

No. 3 It shows other suppliers i.e your photographer what time you will all be ready for those pre ceremony pics!

This helps them focus on other aspects and know exactly when to be back with you for those beautiful reveal shots!

No. 4 It's one less thing for you to worry about. When everyone has a guide of what they're doing and when, it stops everyone floating about not knowing what to do and gives some gentle structure to the morning. Leaving you to sit back and enjoy a pamper!

🖤 My name is Holly, I'm 39 (40 this year!) and a typical Gemini. Half of me loves anything girly and ethereal, and the other half loves anything gothic and moody. I can also be super chilled and calm, or chatty and silly!

🖤 I love all music. Anything from 50's rock n roll to Country and everything in between.

🪷 It's all in the prep 🪷

There's no such thing as a "quick updo" or "just a few curls" If you want your hairstyle to last, there's some serious prep involved that you rarely get to see. There's specific products, tools and techniques to use to create each style. I'd say 80% of the work is in the prep and knowing what kind of prep is needed for each style, hair type and texture.

🪷 HOW TO BOOK ME 🪷

I hate it when things aren't clear about how to book a service, so I wanted to make it really simple for you all - I'm nice like that!

So here's how you book me for you special day, in just 3 easy steps!

1) Fill out my short enquiry from via my website contact page carterhairandmakeup.com/contact (alternatively there is a direct link to the form in my bio)

2) If I'm available (fingers crossed) you can book a complimentary 15 minute chat with me if you wish. Here we can discuss your requirements such as how many wanting hair and makeup, where you're getting ready and any time restrictions which could result in additional artists and costs.

3) Alternatively I will just send you a proposal (without a ring, sorry) with the break down of everything. This also has easy to follow tabs to view your invoice (which shows your 25% cost deposit to secure me for the day) as well as my contact to protect us both. Then all you have to do is click 'accept', pay your deposit and I'm all yours!!

Simple huh!

Why should you book one stylist to do both?

1) You don’t have to search for two different stylists

2) You don't have to worry about those two styles working together

3) It's often a more cost effective way of doing things

4) You can mix and match who has hair and makeup within your bridal party. If some want just hair or just makeup and some want both! (I have a go to a pool of fabulous artists to help me with larger bookings)

I just love to create the full package for my clients. It means I get the opportunity to marry (excuse the pun) the two together. I find that by providing BOTH hair and makeup services I can ensure perfect harmony between the two to give you a stunning and complete look that you will love.
