Another great swim today in the sea, choppy conditions getting me well prepped for next weeks sprint triathlon 🏊 🚲 🏃♂️
4 weeks ago, I had no idea how to swim. Today I swam the distance I need to do next week in tough conditions.
That’s the importance of a coach when want to propel yourself in the right direction 💪💪
There is no magic potion when it comes to health and fitness.
You just have to keep showing up when most people stop.
That’s where the real results are built.
Most people think lifting weights is about looking good.
While that is an added benefit, here’s some more reasons to highlight it’s importance
Staying independent
Keeping up with your kids
Having confidence in your own body
Climbing stairs without getting out of breath
Being able to enjoy sport while limiting injury risk
The goal isn’t to be the strongest person in the room
The goal is to still be capable in 20 years time.

Every Monday starts the same.
Healthier breakfasts,
Good intentions,
Finally the start of the new you.
Then life gets in the way, things get skipped, and by the end of the week you’re back to square one.
The problem is that you’re reliant on motivation as opposed to structure.
Structure that fits your life, not a structure built on a motivational talk to yourself in bed.
Motivation comes and goes, systems stick.
