IMPORTANT NOTICE...

I am semi-retiring from lashes, specifically training and the industry as a whole. I now have the opportunity to work (almost) full time in my domestic abuse role and this will now have my focus as a career. (Alongside the never ending degree 😂).

Those that know me well will know this is what I've been working towards and I'm so grateful to continue to pursue what I am most passionate about.

I have loved my time in the lash industry and am so proud of what I have accomplished. I still mean it when I say it saved my life, and a huge part of that is those who choose to be my clients and students. Without you it wouldn't have been possible and I'll forever be grateful.

Clients reading this don't panic!! I will keep my small client base on for now 😊 But I will now be permanently closed for new clients and training.

Perhaps this will become more of a personal account or perhaps I'll just be there in the shadows like a little stalker 😂 Previous students please feel free to message still, I don't mind!

This is your reminder to prebook Jan/Feb appointments. I start my new job this week and have to be organised. I try to be flexible but I cannot and will not be doing last minute bookings/changes anymore. I have space for everyone if you are organised. ⠀

Also a reminder that late cancellations will be charged (less than 48 hours) and if you are late then it will come from your appointment time. ⠀

I've only gone and bagged a job, my dream of working as a professional in the Domestic Abuse sector 🥰 ⁣

I'll still be lashing as it is part time but it does mean that my lashing hours will be condensed. Once my working hours are sorted I'll let you know! I'll be advising all clients to book 2-3 appointments in advance or its unlikely I'll get you in so be prepared with those diaries ladies!

Why is it you only see certain hairs when you look back at photos? Just like a wonky lash out of place 🙄😂 ⠀

Remember the brows don’t stay this way, as in all up in your face. They can be styled however you want them to be after that initial 24 hour period. ⠀

The fluffy textured appearance actually makes them look a lot more natural than you’d first think! ⠀

That su***de threats are so common amongst perpetrators that it is question included within the Domestic Abuse, stalking & honour based violence assessment (DASH) that is used to identify a victims risk level following an incident.
⁣
Often, they will threaten to hurt themselves or attempt su***de to prevent you from doing something, usually upon your decision to leave their sorry ass. ⁣

This is a manipulation tactic designed to pull on your emotions & since most victims are kind & good people it often works. ⁣
⁣
But don't fall for it!!! ⁣

PREGNANCY & LASHES … ⠀

I was asked a question today about this so thought I’d share the knowledge as it’s been a while! ⠀
⠀
What risks are there lashing during pregnancy? ⠀
- laying flat on your back is not advised as it can restrict blood flow to the placenta⠀
- increased risk of allergies due to hormonal changes ⠀
- change in lash growth/lash cycle may mean retention issues or difficulty with attachment ⠀
What can you do to prevent these? ⠀
- lay your client on their side and turn their head, use pillows for support ⠀
- patch test new clients and post wash at every appointment to minimise allergy risk ⠀
- keep them informed of lash changes ⠀

I have personally lashed many of my clients & friends throughout their pregnancies (multiple with this one here 😂). I have seen many changes in their lash cycles and even had 1 reaction (she was treated with anti-histamines and absolutely fine). ⠀

The most important thing you can do is be open and honest with them, the risks are very minimal. ⠀
And let’s be honest, it’s the one time we really need to be feeling good about ourselves! ⠀

If you are pregnant and looking for lash extensions please make sure your lash artist is knowledgeable! ⠀

BROW LAMINATION... ⁣

Can work if you have existing brow tattoo, giving a fuller and fluffier appearance helps to soften the look. ⁣
⁣
Of course this only works if you have a good amount of hair too! ⁣
⁣
We've given these brows a little extra thickness and softened them, whilst sharpening that line underneath 👌 ⁣
