The most important day for anyone’s calendar, the 4th July!!!
Haircut and pint day 💈🍻
After 102 days of being closed, I can now announce that we will be reopening our pub on the 4th July at 11am.
Things will be very different but our main prioity is to ensure we open our pub as safely as possible.
What we’ll be doing to keep you safe;
Training all our team on our updated operating procedures
Conducting daily staff health checks.
Regularly sanitizing and washing hands at least every 30 minutes for 20 seconds with soap and hot water/sanitizer.
Keeping to distancing guidelines where absolutely possible.
Toilet facilities and touch points will be cleaned on an hourly basis.
We will need your help keeping you and our team safe, please:
Please do not enter the pub if you have any symptoms of Coronavirus or are isolating.
Follow distancing guidelines around other customers and our team.
Please log onto our wifi which will register your details and time of visit (for track and trace purposes).
Use our hand sanitiser stations regularly.
Follow the signage, floor markings and any one-way systems in place.
Only two people in the toilet at any one time - use common sense!
Please don’t move the furniture, it has been positioned to maintain distancing.
Stay at your table where possible. We are operating a strict bums on seats policy through our indoor areas.
We’re new to this just as much as you guys! None of us are experts in these new distancing measures. Please bear with us, if you spot something wrong please do let us know, but please, be kind and patient.
💈 OPENING 4th JULY 💈
Please make a note of guidelines we have in place:
• Only come to the Barber Shop at the time of your appointment.
• Attend your appointment alone, unless you are bringing your son(s) who are also having haircuts.
• Upon arrival, wash your hands and use hand sanitiser at the designated station.
• After washing and sterilising you will be asked to fill out a form for purposes of Track and Trace. All information will be kept for 21 days and will be handed to the NHS if necessary.
• Both Barbers will be wearing masks and visors at all times so it isn’t necessary for you to wear a mask, unless you feel you need to. Which we will respect your wishes and attempt to cut around the mask.
• We will NOT be offering beard or moustache trims. We will NOT be trimming eyebrows or offering our waxing services.
• If your child can not sit unsupervised, we will be unable to provide a service.
Please be patient with us at the strange time. Stay safe guys and we look forward to seeing you very soon 😍💈✂️

The Village Barbers is now CLOSED for the foreseeable.
It’s with a really heavy heart that I have decided to close the doors until the Coronavirus and the Government deem it safe enough for us to trade again.
I’m aware that my profession hasn’t yet been told to close, but as a Mother of four and with close relatives who fall into the high risk category, I have to consider my families safety over all else.
Please stay safe everybody and I look forward to getting my hands on your wigs when it’s all over.
Peace out ✌🏼💈✂️
We here at The Village Barber are shocked to the core that this is happening.
The inevitable is coming, we will all be closed.
Please please please support us all once it is all over. We will need you then more than ever! 🍻💈✂️
As per the government's instructions we will now be closed until further notice for the protection of our guests, staff and business.
We are all struggling through some very difficult and what may seem like impossible times. But please believe me when I say this...
WE WILL BE HERE AFTER THE STORM.
For YOU and for our fantastic staff!
I thank all of my fantastic team from the bottom of my heart for their loyalty and dedication and assure them that we will be back as soon as we are allowed to be!
In addition - an enormous thanks to our customers for your support. We WILL get through this together.
Stay safe. Be kind.
Unprecedented times we are living in, yet The Village Barbers are here for at least another day!
So please make the most of possibly the last day of opening, but please also come along without family if possible. We want to reduce the numbers in the shop for everybody’s safety.
Stay safe guys 👍🏻💈✂️
An absolute belter of a day today guys of Whaley!
Proper worrying times for all businesses at the moment, but keep doing what you do best and we’ll all be here once this is over, keep using our services as you have done today 👌🏻💈✂️
All joking aside...
I have been messaged a lot over the last few days about how we are tackling the prevention of the Coronavirus in the Barber Shop. So to put everyone’s mind at rest, I will list the things we are doing:
Myself and Zara wash our hands after every customer. We put our combs, scissors and cut throats in Barbicide between each customer.
We wash our neck brushes at the end of every day, and spray with disinfectant during the day. We change our gowns regularly, and wash every night.
We insist on customers using tissues provided and encourage customers to wash hands once they have sneezed/coughed.
We are now asking customers not to enter the shop if they are feeling unwell.
This may seem overkill, but in light of the current crisis, it seems necessary and will enable us to stay open for longer.
Thank you for your time 👍🏻💈✂️
If we’re heading for lockdown in 2 weeks, then come in for your wig chopped before hand.
If you’re going into quarantine, then you better look good while you’re there 💁🏼♀️😂💈✂️
Take refuge from Storm Jorge today and come and see Sam and Zara, here all day until 4pm 👍🏻💈✂️
I got asked a while ago why I don’t post pictures of haircuts on my page like other Barber Shops do. I’ve been giving this question some thought for a while and I think my answer would be this:
I’m incredibly old school thanks to the man who taught me to cut. This man, he would not move with the times. But his shop, where I spent 15 years, was booming! He didn’t have social media, he didn’t have WiFi, just a good old fashioned Barbers. No customer or haircut was better than any other. While that customer is sat in your chair, it’s just you and him for 20-30 minutes.
Now with this in mind, I’m proud of every single one of my haircuts. How do I choose one over any other to post on social media? I wouldn’t want to upset all other clients by only posting one, so I chose to not put myself in that predicament.
If you want to see haircuts, come in and see the process and end result. And enjoy a wide plethora of car memorabilia and free WiFi whilst you’re waiting 💈✂️🚗💨😘

Why is it kids always cut the front, the most important bit?? Not always kids though, adults are guilty too 😳
When a friend and customer heads over the waters and fetches me a present for the wall 👌🏻 those are the kinds of people I love 🚗 💈✂️
Who needs WiFi to keep you entertained when there’s baby Sway 💁🏼♀️💈✂️
