Facial balancing is about treating the face as a whole rather than focusing on a single area.

In this case, filler was placed within the medial cheeks (apples) to restore support and soften the transition through the mid-face, the lateral cheeks to provide subtle definition of the cheekbone, and the chin to improve lower facial projection and overall facial proportions.

Treating these areas together, where appropriate, creates a more harmonious relationship between the mid and lower face while maintaining natural facial balance.

The patient had previously had chin treatment, so only a small amount of dermal filler was required to maintain results.

Lip filler is not just about creating volume. Careful placement can improve hydration, definition and balance, whilst respecting each patient's natural anatomy.

These before and after images show a subtle refinement designed to maintain a soft, natural appearance.

Every treatment is tailored to the individual following a full consultation, taking into account facial proportions, anatomy and the patient's desired outcome. Results vary between individuals, and achieving a natural result is always prioritised over adding unnecessary volume.

Gummy smile - the second photo was taken 2 weeks post-treatment. A small adjustment was carried out and results will continue to improve over the next few weeks.

Stylage S dermal filler was chosen for this treatment to provide subtle volume, hydration and improved symmetry. Due to its soft, flexible consistency, it is particularly well suited for thinner or more mature lips, allowing us to build shape and definition gradually while reducing the risk of migration or an overfilled appearance.

Some of the best aesthetic work often goes unnoticed because good treatments are not always obvious.

Understanding what is happening beneath the surface of the skin helps guide the most appropriate treatment for each patient. This may include dermal fillers, skin boosters, regenerative treatments, or a combination approach.

Aesthetic treatments should support how you grow and age, helping you feel like the best version of yourself at every stage.

My patient initially came to see me for a consultation where we discussed her concerns, desired outcome and realistic expectations. Together we chose a treatment plan with the aim to soften the lines in her lower face and improve skin laxity.
This result was achieved over multiple sessions using a combination approach:

- Dermal filler - treating marionette, chin and peri-oral areas
- Stylage Hydromax - to improve hydration and skin laxity in the lower face
- A further filler session for refinement

The aim was not to remove every line, but to create a softer, fresher and more rejuvenated appearance.

Some immediate post-treatment redness can be seen in the second photo, and this usually settles within a few days.

Subtle lip balancing - We carried out a first treatment 5 months and the lower lip was naturally bigger and projected more. We started with using a lower viscotity (finer) filler, gently increasing the height of the upper lip and central lower lip. Today we’ve refined the result with a tiny amount of Stylage Lips Plus, treating the upper lip only to add volume and projection, and improving overall harmony.

Subtle refinement to soften the appearance of the dorsal hump and gently elevate the tip. Using Stylage XL, chosen for its firmness and structure, making it ideal for creating definition and support in the nose with very minimal filler!

Results after 2 sessions of Polynucleotides. The second photo was taken before the third session, and results will continue to improve over the coming weeks, with full results being seen around 12 weeks after the initial treatment.
