Well we had a busy one this morning! With lots of local parkruns cancelled due to storm damage we welcome 268 runners including lots of tourists 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏽 it was also our monthly event AND the sun was shining 🌞 thanks to all the volunteers for their hard work and well earned coffee at ☕️ don’t forget to volunteer yourself once every few weeks to give back to our great team and help our event continue to run smoothly 😊 and you’re all welcome to join us for coffee or breakfast too 🍳 🥞

What a fantastic morning for our super Sara’s 50th birthday 🥂🎂 🥂 we even had a slight course detour due to unexpected “puddle” 💦 thanks to all marshalls, volunteers and runners for being extra vigilant on the course 👍🏼 and thanks to and others for their lovely cakes and bakes at the finish 🧁 and to for managing to cope with a very busy breakfast service 🍳 🥯 ☕️ we also had helping so make sure you check them out!

We had a record breaking event last week with a new female course record being set 🏆 👏🏼 Jemima Elgood smashed her own PB and set the standard high clocking a time of 17:46 🤩 any other ladies out there fancy giving it a go this Saturday?! 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🏃🏻‍♀️ But if you don’t fancy running, we’re still after a few volunteers for Saturday’s event so be sure to email us at [email protected] if you can help!

After an unprecedented 70 weeks PARKRUN IS BACK!!! 🥳 We were absolutely thrilled to have all 166 of you back at The Carrs 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♂️ 🏃🏽 thank you too # all of our wonderful volunteers and to for our beautiful ballon arch 💛💜 and also to for serving our post run token sorting crew ☕️ usual service has resumed, see you all next week!!

What a fab turnout we had yesterday for 🤩🤩🤩 29 (non) park runners turned up to the Carrs to get their practice in for the big day, 24th July, when parkrun officially restarts (hopefully!) 🤞🏼 well down to everyone who ran and also to those that PB’d! Tomorrow should have been the return of Wilmslow Parkrun, but sadly due to Covid guidelines it has been pushed back until July 24th 😢 but never fear, unofficial (NOT) parkrun will return for those who want to get their practice in before the big officials day 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️ so come on down to the Carrs at 9am where a maximum of 30 people are still allowed to exercise outdoors together 😁
