🥹🤍 A little bit of realness this morning, was meant to post this yesterday but thought who actually cares… but I want to always been it 100% real.

Being busy isn’t the same as being fulfilled.

The past month I’ve only worked about 4/5 days behind the chair and honestly… I really needed it.

For such a long time I think I’d convinced myself that my sole purpose was to “do hair”. Work hard, stay busy, keep going, fill the diary and repeat.

But I got to a point where I really wanted some downtime to figure out what a proper work/life balance actually looked like for me. And at the time, I felt like the only way I could do that was to properly take a step back.

I’m back at work now and I genuinely feel like I’m in such a good mindset because of it. I love what I do, but I’ve realised that loving your job doesn’t mean it has to consume every part of your life.

We see so much online about being busy, working harder, fully booked diaries and never stopping… but we don’t see enough of the other side.

Taking time out. Slowing down. Putting yourself first. Realising you need a break before you completely burn yourself out.

So let’s normalise prioritising ourselves too 🤍

Sometimes taking a step back is exactly what you need to come back feeling like yourself again.

BACKWASH GLOW UP 🫧

We’ve had some changes in the salon including lighting last week and now our backwash area has some DIY stick on tiles from Amazon 😅 my stepdad is actually a bathroom fitter and tiling master… however when I’ve got an idea in my head I have to do it right away 🤞🏻

I love it and love how such a subtle change has made such a difference 🤍
