I thought I would do a post to introduce myself. I’m Carrie (you guessed it!) I decided to learn lashing when I was furloughed from the day job - I work as cabin crew for an international airline - so no flights has meant I suddenly have had loads of free time. I always wanted to learn how to lash and I’ve been having my own done constantly for two years! 🙈 It’s something I’m really passionate about and can’t wait to make people feel beautiful! I am doing mobile appointments in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas but if required you can come to me. DM to book!

Lashes really do make all the difference✨✨

I’m excited to announce Lashes By Carrie will be opening as soon as restrictions are lifted!

Maintaining a good aftercare routine is so beneficial as it will improve how long your lashes last and reduce the risk of debris build up causing irritation to the eyes. Here are my top tips
1. DON’T get your lashes wet for 24 hours after your lash appointment as the adhesive needs time to cure and introducing water too early will cause the lashes to fall out
2. DON’T use saunas, steam rooms and sun beds for the first 48 hours
3. DON’T use oil based products. Skincare products that are primarily oil based have the ability to spread all the way to our lash follicles, potentially causing eyelash extensions to fall out … even if we avoid the eye area. Be aware that some products used in facials/chemical peels may contain oil-based products leading to poor retention
4. DON’T perm, tint or use eyelash curlers. Also try not to coat the lashes with mascara.
5. DON’T touch, rub or pick at your lashes excessively. The natural oils from your hands will break down the adhesive, and by picking them you risk pulling out your natural eyelashes. Sleeping face down can also cause lashes to come off prematurely, so try to sleep on your back where possible
6. DO make sure you wash your lashes daily! You can carefully wash your lashes each day with an appropriate cleanser, and gently brush them out with a lash wand. This will ensure your lashes stay squeaky clean. Remove make up around the eye area with a suitable remover such as micellar water, being careful to avoid rubbing the extensions when taking off eye make up.
