I hesitated to share this as it’s a been the pain in side, but I am thrilled to announce that I have received my Level 5 certificate in Education and Training.

This was the most challenging qualification I have ever undertaken in my 55 years, even more demanding than my Level 7 in Aesthetics and my Level 5 in Leadership and Management.

I began this journey in 2022 with an academy that did not understood the challenges faced by students with dyslexia. (And a menopausal
mess lol) Therefore, after careful thought, I restarted the qualification with another academy that believed in my teaching approach and encouraged me to excel. My goal was not merely to complete the course, but to demonstrate exemplary performance. Over the past 2.5 years, struggling with menopause, I dedicated myself to analysing every aspect of the qualification, providing detailed responses, as if I were the tutor, assessor, and EQA, before submitting each unit.

I was kept in suspense a little longer as my work was selected for inspection during the awarding body’s audit, which meant a bit of a wait, but it was worth it! The feedback back was pleasing. My work was an example of the stand students should be working towards for this qualification.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Angela Blemmings for her trust and support throughout this journey. Where others gave up on me and some took advantage, she never wavered from believing in me. I sincerely appreciate her patience with my unit submissions and the time she devoted to marking my detailed work. Her ability to challenge my thought process has been instrumental in helping me exceed my own expectations. Thank you for believing in me and guiding me to reach my goals.
