THE POWER OF VITAMIN C: YOUR BODY'S NATURAL DEFENDER AGAINST FREE RADICALS
Have you ever wondered why Vitamin C is often called one of the body's most powerful antioxidants?
The answer is in its remarkable ability to help protect your cells from damage caused by free radicals.
What are free radicals?
Free radicals are unstable molecules produced naturally in the body during normal processes like breathing and converting food into energy. They can also come from external sources such as:
Smoking
Air pollution
Excessive UV (sun) exposure
Poor diet
Chronic stress
Excess alcohol intake
Because free radicals are unstable, they try to steal electrons from healthy cells. This process, known as oxidative stress, can damage cells, proteins, and DNA over time.

Here are some of the amazing benefits of Vitamin D:

*Helps keep your immune system functioning normally.

* Egg yolks
*Fortified milk and breakfast cereals

That is why during autumn and winter in some countries, many people are advised to consider a daily Vitamin D supplement because sunlight may not be strong enough for the body to produce adequate amounts.

With the rising stress and tension many Nigerians are facing, hypertensive patients and older adults must be extra careful. Stress can sharply increase blood pressure and trigger sudden cardiac arrest in vulnerable individuals.

1. Control Your Breathing (1–2 minutes can save your heart) Stress makes the heart beat faster.Deep breathing slows it down.
Try this: Inhale gently for 4 seconds hold for 2 seconds and then exhale slowly for another 5seconds.Repeat for 1–3 minutes.
This quickly lowers blood pressure and tension.
