Walk Talk Walk Worcester
Walk Talk Walk is a group designed to make walking and running a sociable way meet others.
The primary aim of the group is to promote mental health and emotional wellbeing
Hi everyone. After having another "no show" tonight the group leaders have come to the decision to close this group, so there will be no further WTW walks. There are many other options in and around Worcester. Luna Wellbeing Circle have just started meeting on a Tuesday evening and Worcester Women Walk meets on a Wednesday daytime.
Thanks to all of you who suggested different days or times. As leaders, we all work daytime, and we didn't want to clash with other groups already meeting on a different night.
To all those who came along on those dark, wet nights, it was a pleasure to meet you, and hope we cross paths again soon!
We will be meeting as usual tomorrow, 6.30pm. Can you please let us know if yiu are planning to come along??
***CALLING ALL WOMEN WHO FEEL LOST, ISOLATED, ABANDONED, ALONE, DEPRESSED: WE WANT YOUR VIEWS***
When I set this group up in January, it was because I was so moved by all the posts I saw in Worcestershire Womens' groups from women feeling depressed, alone, isolated, unseen, unheard.
I chose to link with the national walk/ talk/walk & run/talk/run initiative not only from an insurance perspective, but because of their philosophy of being fully inclusive, and the primary focus on mental health, with trauma informed leaders and all routes needing to be fully lit and on established paths for accessibility.
When we started, we had 6 - 9 people turn up each week. I assumed this number would grow with the lighter evenings, but the opposite has happened and we have now had 3 occasions where only the walk leader has turned up.
So here's my question to the women who are crying out to be seen, heard, and reduce their depression, loneliness and isolation:
- what is it that you need?
- how can I help?
- what would help you to feel seen and heard?
If a walking group is not for you (and I know several new groups have been set up in Worcester since I set this one up in Jan), then what is?
If an evening, doesnt suit you, then when would?
As group leaders we need to make a decision as to whether to continue or disband the group, so value your input.
If you dont feel able to post your replies on here, feel free to email me direct at:

I really look forward to hearing from you.

We will be meeting as usual tomorrow, bank Holiday Monday, 6.30pm. You are welcome to join us regardless of whether you are having a good day or bad day! Just come as you are and you will be welcomed!!
Hi everyone! We need your feedback about WTW Worcester.
When we started in Jan, Despite the dark, cold and rainy evenings, we had 6 - 9 people turn up every week. We assumed that, with the Spring and lighter evenings, our numbers would increase. Unfortunately the opposite is the case, and in the last few weeks we have only had 1 or 2 people turning up (including the walk leader).
This post is NOT to make anyone feel bad for not coming, or to make you feel you need to explain why you haven't joined us lately.
We just simply need to know whether we should carry on turning up every week. We are aware that there are already a number of running and walking groups in Worcester, some of which have started since we set up in Jan, so its possible there just isn't the demand.
Please give us your views on whether we should keep going.
Thanks

After last week's beautiful walk along the river, why not join us tomorrow evening? This group is for everyone, but especially those who are lonely, want to get out and meeting others, struggle with their mental health, or want to make changes to their physical health but dont know where to start.
We walk for about 45 minutes and no-one gets left behind.
Hope to see you there!
