A little clarification following my recent post 🤍

I’ve had a few messages from parents asking why their child was previously unable to have a mole or skin blemish removed with me, so I wanted to explain what has changed.

Previously, my insurance provider only covered these treatments from age 12, meaning I unfortunately had to decline anyone aged 11.

Regarding the children previously declined at age 12 and over, as discussed at the time, I determined they exhibited excessive anxiety, uncertainty, or a lack of readiness to undergo the treatment comfortably and safely.

So if your child has previously been declined, please don’t think I turned them away without good reason. There has always been a genuine insurance, safety or wellbeing reason behind that decision.

Since changing insurance provider early last year, alongside my extensive training and dermatology partnership, I am now qualified and insured to treat suitable skin blemishes from age 11+.

However, 11+ does not automatically mean I will treat.

For anyone under 18, consent from a parent or legal guardian is required. But parental consent alone does not mean treatment will automatically go ahead. The young person must also understand, at an age-appropriate level, what the treatment involves, be happy to have it done and be mature and comfortable enough to sit safely throughout the procedure.

A child’s wellbeing will always come before removing a blemish. If they are anxious, unsure or I don’t feel they are ready, I will always recommend waiting — even where a parent has given consent. 🤍

As always, all moles must be medically assessed as benign and proof provided if checks were not done by me before removal, no matter the age.

Nano Hyperrealism Brows 🤎

A beautiful transformation using ultra-fine hairstrokes to create fuller, more defined brows while keeping them looking as natural as possible.

✨ These brows are freshly treated, so they currently appear darker and more defined. As they heal, the colour and hairstrokes will soften for a much more subtle, natural finish.
Perfect for anyone wanting to enhance what they already have without the heavy, blocky brow look.

Does your child have a mole or blemish that’s affecting their confidence? 🤍

You may not realise I’m qualified & insured to treat suitable moles and blemishes from age 11+.

Warts • Moles • Skin Tags • Milia • Cherry Angiomas & more

🔎 Moles must be confirmed benign before removal — either through your own GP/dermatology service or my private dermoscopy screening service (additional fee).

Small blemish. Big difference to their confidence.

❄️ THINKING OF HAVING A BLEMISH FROZEN? READ THIS FIRST…

Cryotherapy is a well-established treatment — but freezing isn't automatically the best option for every blemish.

At Lasting Impressions Advanced Skin Clinic, I primarily use Advanced Electrolysis for blemish removal, and there's a reason why. 👇

⚡ PRECISION Advanced Electrolysis allows me to work directly and precisely on the blemish — particularly useful for small facial lesions and cosmetically sensitive areas.

⚡ VERSATILITY One system can be used for many different concerns, including:

• Skin tags
• Seborrhoeic keratoses
• Cherry angiomas/blood spots
• Thread veins
• Milia
• Syringoma
• Sebaceous hyperplasia
• Selected benign flat and raised moles
• Warts and other suitable benign blemishes

⚡ VASCULAR BLEMISHES Some blemishes aren't simply unwanted pieces of skin — they're vascular. Advanced Electrolysis can coagulate tiny blood vessels, making it particularly useful for concerns such as blood spots and certain thread veins.

🔎 MOST IMPORTANTLY — I DON'T JUST REMOVE WHAT I SEE.

Different lesions require different approaches, and anything that isn't clearly suitable for cosmetic removal should be appropriately assessed rather than simply destroyed.

Cryotherapy absolutely has its place — particularly for certain warts and keratotic lesions.

But when you're choosing someone to remove a facial blemish, don't just ask:

“Can you remove it?”

Ask:

“Do you know what it is, and is this the best method for THIS particular lesion?”

✨ Blemish removal isn't one-treatment-fits-all.

Precision. Assessment. The right treatment for the right lesion.

OUR SKIN LESION & BLEMISH REMOVAL MENU HAS HAD AN UPDATE 🤍

I’ve made some changes to the way our Advanced skin lesion treatments are booked and priced, making it easier to choose the right appointment for what you actually need.

Previously, many blemish removal appointments were booked at a standard £65 / 30-minute rate. I didn’t feel this was always the fairest option for someone who may only have one small skin tag or blood spot that requires a much shorter appointment.

So I’ve broken the menu down into individual treatments, with shorter, lower-priced appointments now available for suitable single lesions, while keeping longer appointments for multiple or more complex areas.

Treatments include skin tags, cherry angiomas/blood spots, milia, seborrhoeic keratoses, benign moles*, facial thread veins/spider naevi, warts & verrucae, xanthelasma, syringoma and sebaceous hyperplasia.

All treatments are carried out using Advanced Electrolysis, with suitability assessed before treatment.

*Moles require appropriate assessment before cosmetic removal. Dermoscopic screening with professional GP & Dermatology review is also available in clinic.

Better suited appointments. Fairer pricing. The same assessment-first approach.

Your Skin. My Priority.

Cherry Angioma / Blood Spot Removal 🩸
These small, bright red vascular spots are extremely common and can appear anywhere on the face or body. While they’re usually harmless, some people choose to have them removed if they become noticeable or bothersome.

Using advanced electrolysis, cherry angiomas can be treated with a highly precise application of energy directly to the blood spot, causing it to gradually disappear as the area heals.

✦ Precise, targeted treatment
✦ Minimal downtime
✦ Suitable for many areas of the face & body
✦ Professional assessment before treatment

At Lasting Impressions Advanced Skin Clinic, lesion safety always comes first. Any lesion that appears unusual or raises concern will not be treated without appropriate assessment/clearance first.

🔬 BEAUTY & AESTHETICS vs THE EVIDENCE — POST 9 t
💧 IV VITAMIN DRIPS
“Just vitamins”… so what's the harm?

This is one treatment where I think the SAFETY conversation is incredibly important.

IV vitamin drips are marketed for:

✨ Energy
✨ Immunity
✨ Detoxing
✨ Hangovers
✨ Better skin
✨ General “wellness”

But here's my problem with that...

💉 DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED THOSE VITAMINS?

In medicine, IV vitamins absolutely have a place.

They may be used when somebody has a diagnosed deficiency, severe malabsorption or another genuine medical indication.

But that's VERY different from giving an otherwise healthy person a cocktail containing high doses of vitamins and minerals simply because they're paying for a “wellness drip”.

If you're not deficient, where is the evidence that you need it?

And importantly — has anyone actually CHECKED?

🔬 MORE IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER

IV administration bypasses the gut and puts the substances directly into the bloodstream.

That doesn't automatically make them healthier or more beneficial.

High doses of certain vitamins and minerals can cause genuine harm, including kidney problems, electrolyte disturbances, heart rhythm/blood pressure problems and nerve damage.

Some people also have medical conditions that make particular IV ingredients potentially much more dangerous.

High-dose IV vitamin C, for example, requires particular caution around kidney function and G6PD deficiency.

This is WHY proper medical assessment and appropriate screening matter.

⚠️ IT'S ALSO AN IV PROCEDURE

Every time a cannula enters a vein there are additional risks, including:

⚠️ Infection
⚠️ Bleeding/bruising
⚠️ Vein inflammation or damage
⚠️ Fluid/electrolyte problems
⚠️ Allergic reactions
⚠️ Medication interactions

Calling something a “vitamin drip” doesn't remove those risks.

🔬 THE EVIDENCE VERDICT

🔴 CLAIMS OUTWEIGH THE EVIDENCE
— for routine wellness IV drips in people without a diagnosed need.

✔️ IV vitamins have genuine medical uses.
✔️ Correcting a real deficiency can be extremely important.

BUT...

❌ There is no good evidence that healthy people routinely need high-dose IV vitamin cocktails.
❌ “More vitamins” does NOT automatically mean better health.
❌ High doses can cause harm.
❌ IV administration itself carries risk.
❌ Giving IV nutrients without appropriate assessment and screening is not something I consider a trivial wellness treatment.

SO… WORTH THE HYPE?

For a genuine medical indication, appropriately assessed and managed? ✔️ Absolutely.

For an otherwise healthy person being sold a cocktail of high-dose vitamins to “detox”, boost immunity or improve general wellness?

🔴 I'm not convinced the potential benefit justifies treating an invasive medical procedure like a beauty add-on.

Before asking “What's in my vitamin drip?”

I'd be asking:

“Why do I need it — and has anyone actually established that I do?”

Because “they're only vitamins” is NOT the same thing as “there's no risk.”

🔬 BE INFORMED. NOT JUST INFLUENCED.
Science over hype. Your safety. Your results. Your trust.
