This photo was taken in New Zealand. Five weeks on the other side of the world. And somewhere between this moment and coming home, everything changed for my skin. πŸ’š

I had been using Templespa products on and off for years. A product here, an advent calendar there. Nothing consistent, nothing that stuck.

But in those five weeks I finally had the time to actually stop and look after myself properly. I built a routine. I used the products every single day. And I started to see what my skin could actually look like when I gave it some proper attention.

I came home a different person in more ways than one.

It was not dramatic. It was not overnight. It was just five weeks of showing up for myself and realising I should have started doing it a whole lot sooner. For my skin and for me. That trip changed a lot of things and was the start of my consultant journey!

Has there been a moment like that for you? A trip, a change, something that made you think right, I need to start looking after myself properly? Tell me in the comments.

How's your week going? πŸ’š

Mine involves this fleece, this mug of Yorkshire Tea and approximately four thousand things on my to-do list.

But you know what, the week is going. And sometimes that is enough.

I am Lizzie by the way. Templespa consultant, Yorkshire Tea devotee, occasional wearer of very cosy fleeces. If you are new here, welcome. If you have been here a while, hello again.

Tell me how your week is going in the comments. The good, the chaotic or the somewhere in between. I want to know.

Why I never skip the SPF. Not even in Yorkshire. Not even in January. Not even when it is absolutely hammering it down.

For years I thought SPF was something you put on at the beach and that was it. Grey sky? No need. Staying indoors? Definitely not. Driving to work? Never crossed my mind.

But UV rays do not care about the weather. They come through clouds, through windows, through the car windscreen on the way to work. Every single day your skin is being exposed whether you can feel it or not.

And over time, that is what ages your skin faster than almost anything else.

SPF is not a summer product. It is the product your skin needs every single day of the year and once I understood that I have never skipped it since.

Are you a daily SPF wearer or is this your sign to start? Drop it in the comments

How finding the right skincare changed everything. Swipe to see the steps that made the difference. πŸ‘‰

I used to think skincare was complicated. Too many products, too many steps, too much conflicting advice. What was a toner for and why did I need a serum??

Turns out I just did not know the basics. Once I understood what each step actually did, when to use each product and why it mattered, everything clicked into place.

This is the routine that changed my skin. Not overnight. But properly, genuinely, in a way I can actually see.

Swipe through and tell me in the comments which step you are missing from your routine right now or which is your favourite.πŸ’š

Hi, I am Lizzie. Let me introduce myself properly.

I am a Templespa lifestyle consultant based in Yorkshire and I spend my time helping people find skincare that actually works for them.

When I am not doing that you will find me in my caravan, reading something I cannot put down, or at boxing on a Monday evening because it is non-negotiable and I will not apologise for it.

I also have strong opinions about Skittles and Yorkshire Tea!

I share honest skincare chat, real life moments and everything in between. If you are looking for someone who tells it straight, loves what they do and occasionally turns up to things with boxing gloves on, you are in the right place.

Tell me something about you in the comments. I would love to know who is on the other side of the screen. πŸ’š

My skincare routine at 40. Here it is, no filter on the process.

I used to have no routine at all. Nothing. Now I have seven steps that I genuinely look forward to every single morning and my skin has never looked better.

Here is exactly what I do:
⭐ In The Beginning to cleanse. A buttery deep cleansing melt that takes everything away and leaves my skin feeling incredible.
⭐ Glowcolic as my toner. This one changed everything for my skin's texture and brightness.
⭐ Glass Act on my eye area. Brand new and I can't wait to see the results from using this one.
⭐ Windows of the Soul to finish the eye area. Firms, hydrates and brightens.
⭐ Let's Concentrate as my serum. Giving me glowing skin all day long
⭐ Moisture To Go to moisturise. Lightweight, gorgeous and perfect for my skin.
⭐ Life Defence SPF30. Every single day. No exceptions. Ever.

Seven steps that take me less than five minutes. That is it.

If you have been thinking your skin is too complicated or too far gone or that a routine is just not for you, I promise you it is not. It just needs the right products in the right order.

Does this sound like something your skin needs? Follow along and I will show you how to build yours. πŸ’š

Do you wear an SPF daily? Hand on heart?

I will be honest, I did not. For years I thought SPF was something you slapped on at the beach and that was that. Grey day in Yorkshire? Nah. Sitting in an office? Definitely not. Staying indoors? Absolutely not.

Turns out I was wrong about all of it.

UV rays do not take a day off. They come through clouds, through windows, through car windscreens. Every single day your skin is exposed whether you can feel the sun or not. And over time, that is what ages your skin faster than almost anything else.
SPF is not a summer product. It is a every single day, 365 days a year, yes even in January in Yorkshire kind of product.

The good news? It does not have to be complicated. Life Defence SPF30 or 50 is your daily face moisturiser and sun protection in one step. Body Defence SPF30 does the same job for your body. Both on before you leave the house and you are done.

One of the simplest things you can do for your skin. And one of the most powerful.

Are you a daily SPF wearer or is this the nudge you needed? Tell me below. πŸ’š

I never knew I needed a cleanser. Until I did.

For most of my life I washed my face with warm water and thought that was enough. My skin felt fine so I figured I was doing fine.

When I finally discovered proper cleansing it was the first step into a whole new world of looking after my skin. It opened the door to everything that came after and set the foundations for me building a skincare routine that I now adore and can't imagine not doing each morning.

If you are at the very beginning and do not know where to start, start here. Cleansing is step one. Everything else follows.

Does this sound like where you are right now? Drop a comment below, I would love to hear from you. πŸ’š

Do you actually need an eye cream? Honest answer coming.

For years I thought it was one of those things that skincare brands made up to get you to spend more money. My moisturiser goes near my eyes. Job done. Right?

Wrong.

The skin around your eyes is the thinnest on your entire face. It has fewer oil glands, it moves hundreds of times a day every time you blink, squint or smile, and it shows stress, tiredness and age before anywhere else does.

Your regular moisturiser was not made for that. It was made for the rest of your face.
So yes. Your eyes need their own product. And when you find the right one, the difference is actually kind of unreal.

Save this if your eye area has been on your mind and follow for more and let me know in the comments - do you use an eye cream? πŸ’š
