Dear Members,

It was truly an honour to represent the Grenada Beauty and Wellness Association as your Vice President at the four-day Trade in Services Workshop hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from July 13th to 16th.

I am pleased to share that the workshop was both insightful and inspiring. It brought together representatives from tourism, business, agriculture, allied health, and many other service industries to discuss Grenada's growing role in the global services sector and the opportunities available for our country.

One of the key takeaways was seeing the significant progress Grenada has made in trade in services since 2015, while also recognizing the work that remains. Discussions focused on the importance of strengthening our industries through education, professionalism, innovation, collaboration, and meeting international standards. We also explored common challenges such as access to international markets, certification, financing, technology, and the need for stronger data to better showcase the value of our service industries.

As members of the beauty and wellness profession, we should be proud of the important contribution we make to Grenada's economy. Our industry goes beyond beauty—it supports tourism, entrepreneurship, job creation, and the overall well-being of our communities.

The knowledge I gained is not meant to remain with me. I look forward to sharing what I learned with our members and working alongside you as we continue to strengthen our association, build capacity, and create new opportunities for growth within our profession.

Thank you to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for organizing this valuable workshop and for ensuring that the beauty and wellness sector had a voice in these important national discussions.

I'm Conice Pascall-Baptiste a hairstylist and owner of Enchanted Beauty Salon(EBS), who has been in business for over 25 years. I started doing hair on my grandma's veranda. Back then my clients had to lean forward while I washed their hair using buckets of water because I didn't have a salon or running water. It wasn't glamorous ,but I was determined to make the best of what I had. Every client who trusted me gave me another reason to keep going. These humble beginnings thought me resilience,gratitude and the value of hard work. Looking back now, I'm proud of how far I've come and I'll never forget where my journey began. I'm a passionate and dedicated hairstylist who specializes in creating beautiful, confidence-boosting looks that leaves my clients feeling confident,empowered and enchanted. My expertise includes quick weaves, sew-ins, precision bobs, stylish pixie cuts , elegant finger waves, and a variety of professional chemicals services. Such behavior undermines the trust that is essential to the beauty and wellness profession and damages the reputation of our industry as a whole.
