Everything that starts with a single piercing eventually becomes a part of history :)
After moving abroad three years ago, Alena and I used to joke in our chats that it was time to start piercing tours to Georgia - obviously a joke, since getting a piercing before long trips is a big no.
But..
We first met seven years ago, back in 2018. Our story began with a nostril piercing, a few years later came a helix, and later - a conch. Over the years we’ve seen both easy healing phases and moments when the immune system misbehaved - which, of course, showed on our titanium kids. Through all that experience, Alena has developed a perfect skill for healing her piercings.
This September, she flew in again from Cyprus. What started as a simple plan to clean her piercings and jewelry turned into two new earlobe piercings with pieces from a Canadian brand and we refreshed the existing ones with shiny new jewelry from the U.S
It’s worth saying - such acrobatics are absolutely not recommended for anyone new to the world of piercings. But we timed it perfectly: healing-friendly weather and humidity in Cyprus, plus the natural softness of the earlobe and Alena’s experience - I expect them to be beautifully healed by next year!
Alena, I can’t put into words how happy I am every time we meet. Thank you for trusting my hands and traveling so many kilometers just to sit in my chair again. That kind of loyalty and energy fuels me to keep doing what I love, no matter what. A little piece of my heart will always stay with you - in our titanium children. 🤍

For me, piercing is more than just a craft — it’s a way to help you express yourself. Especially when the project is unusual or technically challenging! It’s also the best way to unleash creativity and surprise even the most experienced piercing enthusiast.

In April, I traveled to give a lecture at the first Kazakh piercing conference organized by the amazing team at Vibe Studio. At some point, Nikita and I started talking about tunnels in the nostrils, but with his wonderfully balanced facial features, I felt that tunnels might look too harsh. Then I remembered — I had never seen a nostril slot on anyone before, and I suggested going for that instead.

To my absolute delight, he agreed!

Как-то мы разговорились с Никитой о тоннелях в крыльях носа, но с его чудесной гармонией лица мне показалось, что тоннели будут смотреться слишком грубо. Я вспомнила, что ещё никогда и ни у кого не видела слот в крыле носа — и предложила остановиться на этой процедуре.

Моему счастью не было предела — он согласился!

🎃 Dear friends, I really love Halloween, so today I’ll share a spooky story about one of my clients and how we solved this case. You can see the results of our work in the first three photos. But if you look further, you’ll see a harsher story behind Andrey’s ears. A long time ago, he went to an unqualified “master” in St. Petersburg, who completely damaged his earlobes. Mistakenly thinking she was using a plastic surgery technique, this “specialist” cut pieces of skin from Andrey’s neck to try to create a lobe. Naturally, the tissue necrotized, leaving a massive scar and practically no earlobes.

In our restoration process, we removed the damaged tissue and raised the line along the cartilage, as the lobe was almost gone—there was no other way to address the situation. We concealed the scar behind the ear to keep the front view flawless. And to allow Andrey to recreate the look of a lobe with jewelry, we created a subtle slot inside the ear.

Now, when he looks in the mirror, Andrey doesn’t remember the unfortunate experience. So, friends, always choose professionals carefully when it comes to your body. On February 11th of this year, Dmitry came to me requesting a “smile” piercing. We spent half an hour discussing the risks associated with this type of piercing. The most common risks are gum recession and tooth enamel erosion. This occurs due to the constant mechanical impact on the enamel and gums, as the hard jewelry is pressed into them by the orbicularis oris muscle with every smile.

Despite our discussions, Dmitry was adamant, and we decided to proceed with the piercing on the condition that he would monitor the condition of his teeth and be ready to remove the jewelry if necessary. For the smile piercing, we chose a ring that was 2 mm thick and had a diameter of 8 mm.

A couple of months later, Dmitry wanted to add the same ring to the sweet spot of his nasal septum. I was happy to help fulfill his request 🙏🏼

I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE GETTING A SMILE PIERCING. PLAYING RUSSIAN ROULETTE WITH THE HEALTH OF YOUR TEETH AND GUMS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. The cost of dental treatment can be much higher than it seems at first glance.

11 февраля этого года ко мне пришёл Дмитрий с запросом на пирсинг «смайл». Мы полчаса обсуждали риски, к которым может привести этот вид пирсинга. Наиболее распространённые из них - рецессия десны и эрозия эмали зуба. Это происходит из-за постоянного механического воздействия на эмаль и десну, когда твёрдое украшение вдавливается в них круговой мышцей рта при каждой улыбке.

Несмотря на наши обсуждения, Дмитрий был неприклонен, и мы решили выполнить прокол с условием наблюдения за состоянием зубов и готовностью снять украшение при необходимости. Для смайла мы выбрали кольцо толщиной 2 мм и диаметром 8 мм.

Через пару месяцев Дмитрий захотел добавить такое же колечко в свит-спот перегородки носа. Я была рада помочь в исполнении его желаний 🙏🏼

Recently, a man named Ivan came to me with a rather classic request, for those who still remember 2007. Ivan was looking for a way to restore the ear tunnels he had worn before. Over time, without wearing jewelry in them, the tunnels had significantly shrunk, necessitating professional help.

During a thorough examination, we encountered a number of issues that complicated the task. Firstly, a blowout (flipping of the earlobe) was detected, which could cause further inconvenience in restoring the previous diameter. Secondly, we noticed a thinned area of tissue measuring 3-4 mm, indicating a weakness in the structure of the lobe at this location. Finally, there was a significant difference in tissue thickness across the entire diameter of the tunnels, which would have complicated even stretching.

Considering these aggravating factors, we concluded that simply stretching the lobe would not achieve the desired result and could only worsen the situation. Instead, it was decided to perform plastic surgery on the tunnels to restore the perfect shape and ensure a long-lasting and satisfactory outcome.

In the attached photo, you can see the results of our work after the stitches were removed. I was happy to help Ivan achieve his goal and restore his unique look.

*The titanium tunnels have been anodized in two colors - blue and purple, to give Ivan variety in wearing the jewelry.
