FOUR THINGS YOU SHOULD STOP DOING TO YOUR SKIN!

SLEEPING WITH MAKE UP :

Sleeping with makeup on is not a good idea," "First, makeup can trap dirt and environmental pollutants inside the skin, and this type of environmental stress can result in increased free radicals which can cause DNA mutations, collagen degradation, and, over time, can result in premature aging."

TOO MUCH EXFOLIATION : (Exfoliating more than thrice a week)

Too much of a good thing really can happen, especially when it comes to exfoliation. While getting rid of skin impurities on a regular basis is good, doing it too much can aggravate the skin. Over-exfoliation can lead to redness, irritation, and may leave the skin inworse condition than what you started with.it will also ruin your skin barrier

USING SOAPS TO WASH YOUR FACE :

Conventional soaps will strip your natural oils and "disrupt the pH of your skin and damage the skin barrier," which can cause dryness and irritation.
Instead, wash your skin with a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser that offers a deep clean and caters to your unique complexion.

GOING OUT WITHOUT SUNSCREEN (Sun Protecting Factor) :

The number one reason you should prioritize wearing sunscreen is that it helps to protect you from developing skin cancer, sun burn, premature aging etc even if it is cloudy or raining always wear sunscreen.

WHAT IS SKIN EXFOLIATION?๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ

Simply put, exfoliating helps to keep your skin silky soft and smooth by buffing away and removing dead skin cells.
Your skin naturally sheds dead skin cells every 30 days or so. When this happens, new skin cells form the top layers of your skin. If those dead cells donโ€™t shed, it can result in dull, dry and flaky patches.
Exfoliating is the process of helping to speed up that process by removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. You can exfoliate your skin by using a purpose-made chemical or granular exfoliating product or an exfoliation tool such as a pumice stone, exfoliating shower puff or an electric cleansing/exfoliating brush.

How Often Should You Exfoliate?

We recommend exfoliating your skin twice a week as part of your weekly skincare routine. Exfoliation is all about balance โ€“ whilst itโ€™s important to buff away dead skin cells you also want to take care not to strip away too many of your skinโ€™s natural oils.
By maintaining a twice-weekly exfoliating regime, you can keep dry, dull skin at bay without stripping away those necessary natural oils.

How to Exfoliate Your Skin?

When exfoliating, itโ€™s important to be gentle on your skin. Being too harsh can be drying and could lead to microtears exfoliating scrubs and creams are best used on damp skin so lather up and exfoliate your skin during your morning shower or night-time bath.
Whether youโ€™re using an exfoliating scrub or an exfoliating body puff or brush, make small, circular motions over the area you want to exfoliate. Exfoliate each area for 20-30 seconds then rinse off with warm water. After exfoliating, apply a natural body moisturizer help keep your skin glowing.
We advise exfoliating twice a week to make sure you remove dry, dull skin without disrupting your skins production of natural oils.
Avoid exfoliating if you have any cuts, open wounds or sunburn on your skin, to not further irritate your skin.
