EN CE JOUR DU 29 DÉCEMBRE 1782 LA MORT DU GRAND MATHÉMATICIEN THOMAS FULLER SURNOMMÉ MENTAL CALCULATOR
Mort en ce jour du 29 décembre 1782, le regretté Thomas Fuller était un esclave africain réputé pour ses aptitudes en Mathématiques. Il fut capturé en Afrique par les esclavagistes blancs et expédié aux USA en 1724 alors qu'il avait seulement 14 ans. Il était tellement fort en Maths qu'il pouvait faire des calculs inimaginables. Un jour quand on lui a demandé combien de secondes il y avait dans un an et demi, il a répondu en deux minutes environ, 47304000. Les pro abolitionnistes et les philanthropes blancs ont utilisé son talent comme preuve que les esclaves Noirs étaient égaux aux Blancs au niveau de l'intelligence.
Thomas fuller, fut un très grand Mathématicien, mais malheureusement oublié de l'histoire. Repose en paix Monsieur Fuller.
