There was an evangelist who organized a crusade. He fasted and prayed for a long time, believing God for a massive harvest of souls.

When the day of the program arrived and it was time for the altar call, only one young boy came forward in tears and gave his life to Jesus Christ.

The evangelist returned home heartbroken. He wept before God, asking why, after so much prayer and fasting, only one person had responded to the Gospel.

Years later, the evangelist met the daughter of that young boy. She told him, “You were the one who led my father to Jesus.”

That young boy was Billy Graham.

The same Billy Graham who would later become one of the greatest evangelists in history, preaching the Gospel to millions of people around the world and leading countless souls to Christ.

While the evangelist was discouraged, thinking his efforts had produced only one convert, God was preparing someone who would impact generations.

Lessons you can pick from this:

1. Never despise small beginnings. One soul can change the world.
2. Your obedience to God is never wasted, even when the results seem small.
3. God measures faithfulness, not numbers.
4. The seed you plant today may become a harvest you will never fully see on earth.
5. Never underestimate the value of one person giving their life to Christ.
6. Keep preaching the Gospel with passion. The next person you lead to Jesus could become a mighty instrument in God’s hands.

For it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

If you die today, where will you be?

Jesus is the only King who can save your soul. 'For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved' (Acts 4:12). Say yes to Jesus now while you are still alive.

Lord Jesus, I confess You as my Lord and personal Savior. 'If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved' (Romans 10:9). Forgive me all my sins and come into my life and be my lord and personal savior.

1 John 3:2 KJV
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
