Exited to visit the pumpkin patch for the first time with my cohort at Eastern Illinois University, it was a memorable experience. The environment was lively, with the bright orange pumpkins scattered across the field and the crisp fall air enhancing the festive mood. It was fascinating to see the variety of pumpkins, from tiny decorative ones to large, robust pumpkins perfect for carving. Walking through the patch with my cohort added a sense of camaraderie as we shared laugh, and immersed ourselves in the autumnal atmosphere.

Beyond the fun, the experience gave me a deeper appreciation for seasonal traditions I hadn’t been part of before. The pumpkin patch wasn’t just about picking pumpkins, it was about connecting with nature, enjoying the simplicity of the moment, and creating memories with my group. The sense of novelty, paired with the festive setting, made it a special bonding experience, as we celebrated a small but meaningful autumn tradition together.
