Nigeria: A Federation That Stands Idle While Its Soldiers Die Has No Right To Exist
The news from Borno State should not just sadden Nigerians; it should shake the country to its core.
Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah and 17 soldiers have been killed in coordinated attacks by ISWAP fighters in Benisheikh, Ngamdu, and Pulka.
This is not just another tragic headline.
This is a national indictment.
Another day, another massacre.
Another headline, another burial.
And, as always, another deafening silence from those who claim to govern.
Let Nigerians stop living in self deceit, pretending things will get better. This is not normal.
It is not. It is a disgrace.
For years, Nigeria has worn the garment of a country at war with itself, yet behaves like a spectator in its own destruction.
Military formations are overrun, soldiers are ambushed, and terrorists strike with frightening precision, yet the response from the government remains painfully predictable: silence, statements, and forgetfulness.
Silence when action is needed.
Statements when accountability is demanded.
Forgetfulness when justice is required.
A Brigadier General, an officer of high command, falls in battle, and the system barely shakes. Seventeen soldiers are wiped out, and the nation moves on as though they were statistics, not sons, fathers, and protectors.
What kind of country normalizes the slaughter of its own defenders?
This is no longer just a security failure; it is a moral collapse.
It becomes even more embarrassing when placed side by side with how other nations treat their own.
Reports have shown that just days ago, U.S. President Donald Trump mobilized enormous military resources; billions of dollars, and over a hundred highly trained personnel equipped with advanced technology to rescue a single citizen in danger.
One life was enough to command urgency, precision, and overwhelming force.
But here in Nigeria, dozens die, and the state clears its throat and carries on.
This contrast is not just embarrassing; it is damning.
It tells every Nigerian soldier one brutal truth: you are expendable. It tells every citizen another: your life does not command urgency. It tells the enemy the most dangerous message of all: strike again, as nothing decisive will happen. And so they do.
The attackers, cynically described by some as “prodigal sons,” are not wandering home; they are organized, emboldened, and increasingly confident killers who understand the weakness of the system they are fighting. They strike, they kill, and they withdraw, knowing that outrage will fade and consequences will be minimal.
Meanwhile, the government watches.
Always watching. Rarely acting.
One begins to wonder whether this silence is born out of incompetence, indifference, or something even more troubling
Because when a government consistently fails to respond with urgency to repeated bloodshed, it stops looking like inability and starts looking like acceptance.
That is the most dangerous point a country can reach; when death becomes routine and leadership becomes ceremonial.
The truth is harsh, but it must be said: a government that can not defend its soldiers has no right to exist. A government that does not react decisively to such losses sends a clear signal that it neither fears consequences nor respects sacrifice.
Brigadier General Braimah and those 17 soldiers did not just die at the hands of insurgents; they died in the shadow of a system that has grown too quiet, too slow, and too comfortable with tragedy.
Until that silence is broken; not with words, but with action, Nigeria will continue to bury its bravest while pretending everything is under control.
But because it is lives we are talking about, because this is not a part anyone sensible should advise we continue any longer, disintegration is the only solution. People should be allowed to go their separate ways and employ every possible means to defend their regions without the interference of a terrorism infiltrated centre.

FLASHBACK
The man in the picture below, Kabiru Umar Abubakar Dikko, aka Kabiru Sokoto was identified as the mastermind behind the Christmas Day bombing on December 25, 2011, at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Madalla, Niger State.
On that fateful morning of December 25th, 2011, as worshippers gathered for Christmas prayers inside St Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State, a vehicle drove in carrying explosives . The bomb exploded kpaing 37 worshippers.
Through intelligence gathering , Kabiru sokoto was later found and arrested in January 2012 at the Asokoro lodge of then Governor Kashim Shettima, of Borno , who is today the vice president of Nigeria.
In the search for Kabiru, the State Security Service (SSS) raided the Borno State Governor's Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja. And found Kabiru hiding with explosives and AK-47 rifles .
Denial immediately set in . Shettima's spokesperson, Isa Gusau, claimed kabiru Sokoto intended to abduct Shettima's children or even harm Shettima
How could such a high-profile terrorist be hiding in a governor’s lodge, not in Borno but in a high profile area like Asokoro ? How could he have come to a well guarded area like Asokoro to kidnap the children of a high profile person in the caliber of a governor?
How could he have gained assess into the residence without engaging in gunfire with the security stationed in that Lodge , and it's not like the security in that residence were held hostage by him ? Many questions , zero answer yet
In March 12, 2014, the federal govt through the then Minister of State for Education Nyesom Wike advised Governor Shettima to shut down all remote schools for security reasons. Shettima blatantly refused and ignored that advice.
A month later , On April 14, 2014, The Chibok girls abduction occurred from the blues and 276 girls abducted in a well coordinated operation.
Reports allege that a school principal then under investigation was immediately nominated as a commissioner under Shettima’s administration.
Why is it that of all persons , such a man was chosen to become the vice president of Nigeria by the APC GOVT. And under their regime , terrorists are now treated like kings and recruited into the armed forces. Nigeria have the most porous armed forces in the World today due to this infiltration of the armed forces by terrorists.
A US-based Nigerian lawyer Emmanuel Ogebe recently explained why the American troops might refuse to conduct joint combat operations with the Nigerian Army, citing a security breach during the Chibok girls rescue attempt
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV Ogebe recounted how operational intelligence was allegedly leaked to Boko Haram terrorists.
He said “Historically, the US military has been reluctant to fight side-by-side with the Nigerian government because they don’t trust the Nigerian military. And one specific example is when they got intelligence on the location of the Chibok girls in the forest. They were cooperating with the Nigerian Army. So the US government told the Nigerian Army that they would gas the camp where Boko Haram was with the girls and then knock everybody out so that they could rescue the girls safely without exchange of gunfire,”.
Ogebe described what happened when American forces arrived at the target location.
“After they mapped out this plan, the next thing that happened when the US troops and Nigerian Army got to the camp of Boko Haram, they saw Boko Haram wearing gas masks. So the US realized that the Nigerian military had leaked the operational details to Boko Haram. This is why the US does not want to work directly with Nigeria with boots on the ground, because they do not trust the Nigerian Army,” he stated.

IPOB provoked a serious dialogue on Biafra's restoration and MNK's release to everyone in Biafraland, Nigeria, and globally without resorting to threats or violence.
We want individuals to feel comfortable discussing Biafra independence without fear. In the past, discussing separation induced fear among people, but now conversations about Biafra's freedom are happening in every corner of Nigeria without fear of engagement.
Let’s maintain that approach because the moment everyone participate in the Biafra discussion that means the awareness campaign is complete and ready for the next stage for the restoration of Biafra .

Fake News Alert
There has been fake news flying around on social media being circulated by some Nigerian agents and a few gullible Biafrans.
The fake news states that Ghanaian Chief Judge storms Nigeria court for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. This news is a lie from the pit of hell. The person they are cycling as the Ghanaian Chief Justice is a DSS agent assigned to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in court. DSS agents follow Mazi Nnamdi Kanu around during the court section. That's the protocol.
That some Biafrans are joining in circulating this fake news shows that some of us are yet to learn our lessons after what the Nigerian government used Simon Ekpa to do in the Biafra struggle.
When you hear such news, the first thing you ask yourself is this. What concerns Ghana with Biafra? What exactly? What is the interest of Ghana? Have you seen or heard anything concerning Ghana and Biafra before? Does the Ghanaian Chief Judge have the right over Nigeria court not to talk of storming it?
Our people must be careful.
This news was made to ridicule Biafra's struggle in Africa. What do you think Ghanaians will think when they read this fake news?
We must join hands to expose these lies. Stop listening to people who will always want to tell you what you want to hear.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not only looking for the freedom of Biafrans. He also wants the freedom of the Yoruba and Hausa people. Unfortunately, the politicians who have stolen Nigerians dry managed to confuse the people and some were impoverished and bought off to support them politicians. They pay them peanuts to lie against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has never held any political office, so no one will say he looted money or enjoyed oil wells. He wasn't behind the soldiers that opened fire on the youths protesting peacefully at Lekki tollgate during the endears protest. But some misguided youths will say that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the problem of Nigeria.
How did a man asking for a referendum for the freedom of Biafra become a problem in a country where politicians loot and swim in corruption?
How come those looting and marginalising the Igbo people aren't the problem, but Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Kanu's demanding freedom is the problem? How?
These youths support injustice, judiciary injustice and executive rascality because it is about Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. They don't know that whatever goes around comes around. In 2017 most of you people supported the military when they opened fire on Biafran youths protesting peacefully and waving Nigerian flags. You questioned why they should wave the Biafra flag in Nigeria's land. Some of you even said that when you want to protest in Nigeria, don't use a flag but use an AK47. You all said this to support the kị́lling of IPOB members and blame them for their deaths. You said they caused it.
In 2020, what you supported visited you. You all came out to protest, waving Nigerian flags, and the military opened fire on you people, kị́lling more than 100. What you supported came calling. Those of you who advised IPOB to get AK47 or don't protest forgot your own advice. You know lies are easily passed as a piece of advice. When people protest with AK47s, is it not a passport to military attack? Those of you supporting injustice today against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will see it circling all of you tomorrow.
Africa is waking. Africa is uniting. Why is it that youths in Nigeria are still supporting politicians who are nothing close to Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso?
You can still make a turn today. Quit supporting evị̀l. Join the call for the freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Had it been Simon Ekpa still roaming freely, he would have claimed responsibility for the de@th of this politician. He will tell people how they are our problem and this and that.
Then, the government will immediately use Vanguard News or Sahara Reporters to accuse IPOB of being behind the attack, leaving out the one that claimed responsibility.
But unfortunately for the government, the Finland-based criiminal isn't free again. So, the government has ended their accusations. They have arrested the real kị́llers and freed them from police custody.
Shamelessly police say people they arrested suddenly escaped. I don't need to tell you what I know you know happened.
The government was behind the insecurity in the South East. They brought in Ekpa, thinking with him, they could get the job done. But they failed.

It's a shame that a British citizen Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is still in illegal detention in Nigeria from 2021 till date without the Nigerian authority proving him guilty of any wrong doing and the British government sits idle doing nothing as if nothing is happening or his life doesn't matter. Is it because he is a black man and a Biafran calling for a referendum for the people of Biafra to decide whether to continue with the already expired British created union of 1914 called Nigeria? A union created without the consent of our fathers.
The question here is:
A. Has Nigeria as been created by the British government in 1914 not expired according to the terms and conditions of the British criminal amalgamation agreement?
B. Amalgamation agreement of 1st January 1914 expired on 31st December 2013 which according to the agreement which stated that after 100 years that all the component nations should come together to decide whether to continue with the union or not, and that, any nation that decided to self governance should be allowed to do so, to determine their future, did Mazi Nnamdi Kanu committed a crime for calling for a referendum for the people of Nigeria to renagotiate the Nigerian union through democratic process ?
C. What exactly is the crime of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu that the British government abandoned him in illegal detention in Nigeria even after so many courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria including the Federal Appeal Court Abuja has discharged and acquitted him all charges since the year 2022?
D. Is it a crime to be a Biafran?
E. What is the crime of the Biafran people that the British government hates us with passion?
F. Britain you send your Anglican missionaries to our land (Biafra land) and our father's accepted it and keep faith from generations to generations till date even after you supported the Nigerian government dominated by Muslims to commit genocide against us your follow Christians that took away more than 6 million lives of innocent Biafran people which most of them are women and children and up till date you are still supporting the Nigerian government to keep killing us and still don't want Biafra to go, why?
G. Britain do you think that if Nigeria is working, anyone will be talking about Biafra today?
H. Britain you know very well that Nigeria will never work because there is no way people without common values can coexist and you know it very well, why are you still forcing the union on Biafrans?
Just mention but few!
Britain, you must understand one simple truth and the truth is that no amount of massacring, illegal detention, harassment, starvation, economic strangulation policies, secret killings, and genocide against us will kill the spirit of Biafra. The only thing that will calm the spirit of Biafra is open and sincere constructive dialogue.
We need equity and justice!
All we ask for is the Biafra referendum and nothing more!
