💫Contrary to popular opinion, exfoliating your skin too much can actually damage skin barrier. The picture above is of a client using an exfoliating cream and also using a grainy scrub everyday to treat dark knuckles. This in turn severely hardened the skin on her hands.

💫 The main purpose of any form of exfoliant is to get rid of dead skin cells. Exfoliating creams containing AHA or BHA should never be used alongside scrubs. Using grainy scrubs on an exfoliated or already sensitive skin can cause sensitized skin, damaged skin barrier or hardened skin depending on the part of body you apply these products on.
