_One can argue facts and figures, explain with logic and reasoning, but one should not attempt to bruise the sanctity of anyone. Respect even if you are disrespected. Being respectful is not about the people you are dealing with but about who you are._

_Don't take jokes too seriously and don't joke about serious "things", as this could be bruising!_

_The thirst to create a political crusade will never leave the chests of politicians. It is their ever-standing dream, and some of them would go to lengths to make it happen! These crusades can be given innocent names and mottos, even though the underlying motive is to keep the cult(camp) living and ruling! *DON'T FALL FOR IT!*_

_Unfortunately, many people are deceived and manipulated into becoming disciples to these politicians without properly and objectively defining their purpose, interests and risks! Woe unto treacherous kindness!_

_Justifying the means by the end is, most times, a blatant disregard for accountability and recourse to unadulterated conscience! Watch out for those who can propagate untruth just to make you help them grab a seat in an election. Stay alert! Stay safe!_

_You do not have to hate a person just because your political ideologies contrast. That would be very immature and primitive._

_Tolerance is indispensable in maintaining political harmony. People should be allowed to follow their hearts and minds freely._

_As an aspirant, do not judge people for being more inclined towards your opponent than you. Maybe you should look into your own track records, policies and social posture, through unfiltered, honest lenses! Do not hold grudges against a segment of a people you want to serve fairly. That would be inevitably poisonous._

_Learn to accept opinions, facts and narratives as long as they are true! This would create a healthier political atmosphere for all and sundry._

_Politics is for everyone, especially the new students. Clarity on leadership issues, definition of interests and implementation of mechanisms and strategies for achieving those interests are crucial to everyone in any association. This should not be left in the hands of anyone else!_

_Every student should be deliberately objective in pursuit of their political interests right from the onset! It would be very telling that one would be a political victim if they wait to be dragged into student politics! Engage and engage from the onset!_

_Contest with, challenge and support policies, doubt and clarify issues! Staying neutral can sometimes mean you are complicit!_

Sentiments aside, it's very incumbent that we all make logic when trying to push certain agendas. It's very unlikely that a single camp presents the most ideal candidate for every single position. It's possible but not probable. So, loyalty to measurable, quantifiable and traceable record and policies should be the benchmark! All in all, have candidates not camps! Wossalam!

Camp loyalists would try their hardest to make you pledge allegiance to their camps instead of individual candidates! This is manipulative! Your intellect should not allow you to follow blindly. A camp can present the best candidate for a post this year and still present an undeserving one for the same post next year! If you are a loyalist, you would be required to pledge allegiance to them in both elections! This, I'm sorry, is primitive and backward!

THE ITCA VETS EMERGE SECOND IN THE MRCG AI HACKATHON

In pride and awe of the performance of the ITCA VETS at the MRCG AI HACKATHON, the Eleventh Executive Council of the ITCA raises before everyone a flag of celebration of the team.

The ITCA VETS emerged second in the hackathon, which was given a grand closing out ceremony at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara Conference Center on Wednesday, 5th November, 2025.

The award, which is reflective of the academic cm practical skill primeness of both the VETERANS and the ITCANS in general shall remain a symbol of excellence and superbness in the source code of the ITCA.

The Eleventh Executive Council of the ITCA would like everyone to join them in singing carols while we give the veterans their flowers.

Congratulations, ITCA VETS, we shall code our way to the ceiling of the sky!

The ITCA received a press jacket alongside the other 16 sub associations of the The University of The Gambia. The Jackets were a kind gesture from the Minister of Information and Communication of the Students' Union, Honorable Amadou O Bah.

ITCA SUMMER BOOT CAMP SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED.

The Eleventh Executive Council of the ITCA, through her Education and Research Ministry, delightfully informs everyone of the successful completion of the Summer Boot Camp 2025.

The closing out ceremony, which was held earlier today, September 13, wrapped up the milestone achievement in style.

From certification of the participants to an interactive session between them and the Executive Council, all came to pass in the Kanifing Campus.

The participants bore witness to the effectiveness of the classes, and branded themselves with the pride of being part of such an academic pursuit.

The Eleventh Executive Council of the ITCA would like to express sincere gratitude to the tutors who volunteered wholeheartedly to the course. Their contributions shall remain engraved on the soul of ITCA. The ITCA says THANK YOU.

The Education and Research Ministry of the ITCA is also commended for such innovative means to get fundamental courses of ICT extended to beyond the school of ICT.

The supervisors are also remembered for their relentless efforts that ensured classes were conducted seamlessly, boosting convenience for both the tutors and their students.

The ITCA would like to remind the students that pursuing the offered courses further after the boot camp ends is the ultimate goal. Certification is not mere decoration but a testimony for what one can do, and skills stale when not sharpened.

On that note, we hope to see many others joining the potential boot camp next summer, God willing.
