Keratin Straightening
Keratin straightening is a hair treatment combining chemical solutions and heat therapy. It replenishes lost keratin and restructures hair strands to smooth frizz, create sleek straight hair and boost shine. The results last longer than temporary flat iron styling and are gentler than traditional hair rebonding.
Hair is primarily made of keratin. Chemical treatments, sun exposure and frequent use of hot styling tools deplete keratin, causing cuticle lifting, hair porosity and frizz.
• The formula contains hydrolyzed keratin, mild reducing agents and setting ingredients such as glyoxylic acid. Low-formaldehyde or formaldehyde-free formulas are safer.
• Treatment process: Lift hair cuticles → Infuse keratin into strands → Seal cuticles and rearrange disulfide bonds with a hot flat iron (180–230°C) → Cool and set, leaving hair smooth, straight and resilient.
Suitable for:
• Naturally curly, frizzy and unruly hair
• Hair damaged by perming or dyeing, dry, split and brittle hair
• Coarse, thick hair that needs softness without looking flat at the roots
• Those who prefer natural straight hair with glossy finish and easy maintenance, and wish to avoid harsh chemical treatments
