Alchemic Wenchcraft Designs
A page devoted to beautiful jewelry and chain mail design (created by the owner) And so, my jewelry was born.
I started making chain mail jewelry after years of working in the renaissance and reenactment circuit making chain mail armor. Unfortunately, armor does not pay for itself to make and I found myself wanting to incorporate some beauty into the little metal rings that I was working with. Its now a hobby of love, and I get the chance to share that love with others.

I'm ba-ack! Its been a while. I've been working in the background throughout all the lockdowns, rebounds and other associated crap that came with the Dreaded Bug and it's consequences. New tools have been arriving and I'm looking forward to the transition to pure silver, copper and gold creations.

After much frustration with the year long banning that the page experienced this year, I have made an executive decision to begin the moving of platforms. The jewelry page is set up on Vero under Alchemic Wenchcraft Designs https://vero.co/wenchery/Znz2-s6dQrF6BnVT6Mbpr3h3 and in January I will have my Instagram set up and my Etsy shop will be reactivated. The page will be turned into a placeholder only with contact details to the other platforms.
From those of us wenches to all of you, I hope you have a lovely holiday season. Stay safe, stay warm, and stay mischievous

I absolutely love working with ammonites... Each is different and unique, and their settings should be too

Happy Halloween everyone! Creative opportunities appear everywhere for the creative mind. Even if you have no experience in something, you can teach yourself through practice till you get it right. Stay positive!

So, I sent some time this summer learning from a Navajo traditional silversmith about particular hammer weaves used for bezel settings which are bound by only wire and contour to unusual shapes. This is one of the more simple designs which is used on an irregularly shaped piece of blue agate. The stone is permanently trapped and bezel set as a result.

So.. when you get about a half hour a day to craft ...you spend a lot of time making base materials like Viking weave coils....it's like knitting. But when you get a couple of hours...things like this happen.

So after a VERY long hiatus from shiny making (real life is a challenge these days) here is a triple Viking knit bangle finished with silver and onyx stonework.
