The biggest myth about laser is that it's only for hair removal.
It can be hair removal. It can also boost collagen, clear breakouts and acne scarring, and treat those little red capillaries that seemingly every Irish person has. I have them myself.
It's a proper skin rejuvenation tool, not a one-trick device.
Two things people always ask:
"Is it that laser I've seen online where the skin looks burnt in little squares?" No. That's a completely different treatment and it's not what our machine does. Ours is very minimally invasive with little general downtime.
"Does it hurt?" We've had enough clients tell us it genuinely doesn't. There's a very strong cooling system on it, and we take every precaution to make it as comfortable as we can for you.

There's one area of the face I'll almost always say no to treating directly. It's the forehead.
The forehead is tightly packed with major blood vessels, and the skin there is often thin and tight. In a lot of cases it's simply too high a risk, and it would be uncomfortable for you. So I don't.
That doesn't mean the forehead can't be treated. We can microneedle the same products into the skin instead, you still get the collagen stimulation, you still get the textural change, and you're still driving in a product that can genuinely transform the skin.
For reference, our usual treatment zone for skin boosters and polynucleotides runs from the chest up to the eyes.
Knowing where not to treat is as much a part of this job as knowing how.

If you leave a skin treatment looking like an extra in Carrie, something has gone wrong.
There's meant to be a level of control to this. Every practitioner works slightly differently, but if I don't need to cause more injury to your skin to get the result, I'm not going to.
We're taught that bruising is a complication, and I'm yet to see someone bruise. A bit of red welting, absolutely, that's normal. Open wounds across your face are not. That's an infection risk, and it's unnecessary.
The reasoning: when skin is cut or scratched, your body repairs it. But if that injury is too large, or the skin is too dry, or it isn't cared for properly afterwards, you can scar.
Why would I run that risk with your face?
Ask your practitioner what your recovery should look like before you book. If they can't tell you, that's your answer.

Pigmentation and texture respond well to peels. Scarring and deeper textural change respond well to microneedling.
Sometimes the answer is both, over time.
What it's almost never is a quick fix. Most people start seeing real results after multiple sessions, not after one, and any clinic promising otherwise is selling you something.
We'd rather set the expectation properly at consultation than have you disappointed after session one.

Yes, there's downtime with a chemical peel. One to six days, and here's what it actually looks like.

A peel removes the top layer of your skin in the most effective and safe way we can, clearing out dead skin cells. Then you go through a few days of shedding while healthier skin comes through underneath.

Are you housebound? Not one bit. But it isn't a zero-downtime treatment and I won't pretend it is. Think a light sunburn-style peel, not the extreme ones you see online. We don't use those.

It works especially well for texture and congestion. I get texture through my T-zone myself and it's made a big difference to how smooth my skin is. Active breakouts respond well too.

One won't do it. Three minimum, roughly once a month, same as microneedling. It's the gym rule, the results come from repeating it.

Non-negotiable: sunscreen. If you're not willing to wear it, I'll turn the treatment down. That's not me being difficult, that's me protecting your skin.
