Slower pace than the usual stuff… and slightly less of me effing and blinding
A little insight into my favourite part of Urban Sauna Co — our private sauna.
From the .ie stove, the locally sourced materials, to the raised benches and internal dimensions built around proper Finnish sauna standards — and even a few mistakes that somehow worked out for the better — this sauna has turned into something special.
It started as a complete gamble. I genuinely didn’t know if there’d been demand for it… but thankfully there was, and it’s been a massive hit.
Big shoutout to for pushing me to make a video about something I’m actually passionate about.
Anyway sauna f**kers…

Upgrading as usual here at USC 🔥
We’ve been busy adding more quality-of-life improvements for our customers — new shower bay, upgraded private area with its own shower, new canvas to keep the plunges cooler on these hot days, fresh mural (big thanks to , plus behind the scenes upgrades for the team with a new wood store & prep area.
And we’re not done yet… new chillers landing next week, fresh paint, and a few more surprises on the way. 👀

How we built our newest sauna!
We’ve had lots of questions about where we got our saunas and who built them — so here it goes 👇
Our latest sauna was built on site. We worked with local carpenters and tradesmen, with Dave acting as project manager throughout the build.
Materials were sourced locally here in Meath wherever possible, using local hardware suppliers and timber processors. We decided to try and source everything locally as on our previous build we purchased imported sauna timber such as alder and spruce — difficult to get and very expensive!
The sauna stove/heater was sourced from .ee After hours of research we stumbled upon them — a massive manufacturer of sauna stoves in Estonia who mainly ship to the US and Australia.
Fred (their sales manager) called us straight away and gave us time and advice, so we had no choice but to go with COZY! This is how the Cozy x Urban Sauna Co relationship was born (big things coming in 2026 👀). .ie
There were plenty of things we didn’t think of during this build and the previous one but we’ll cover all of that in a separate post.
