Many high performers are trapped in a sleep–energy loop they don’t see.
Poor sleep increases hunger hormones like ghrelin and reduces leptin.
That means more cravings and less control around food.
At the same time, the nervous system stays in a stress-dominant state.
Blood pressure, glucose regulation, and mental reactivity all suffer.
Low energy → more caffeine.
Caffeine → lighter, fragmented sleep.
Wired brain → screens or alcohol at night.
The next day starts tired again.
So the cycle repeats.
This isn’t a character flaw.
It’s physiology responding to chronic sleep debt.

Most people don’t realize how deeply poor sleep is affecting their life.
When sleep is consistently low, a few things quietly start to happen:
– Hunger hormones shift (more hunger, more cravings)

– Stress hormones stay elevated
– Energy stays low, even after “enough” hours in bed
So people compensate.

It isn’t.

I want to share the real reason I wrote my new book, Sleep Like a Baby Again.
For years, I worked with busy professionals who were doing everything “right.”
They were eating clean.
Exercising.
Trying to sleep early.
Being disciplined.
But they still felt tired.
Still woke up in the middle of the night.
Still gained weight.
Still felt overwhelmed and low on energy.
One pattern became impossible to ignore:
