Hair for Happiness is a hair donation drive initiated by two IB1 students from Candor International School, Niharika and Amatullah. We were inspired to turn our ideas for this project into something real through our perception of the general lack of such drives in our city and to help alleviate the emotional trauma that children afflicted with diseases that take their hair away from them go throug
Hello Everyone! Hair for Happiness (Bangalore) will no longer be accepting hair donations (unless the hair has already been cut/mailed).

*Important notice, please read.*
Greetings from the co-founders!
We, Niharika and Amatullah, and our amazing volunteers, Anandini and Avichal, have been overwhelmed with the love and support that we've received over time, and especially in the last few months.
Everyone's growing interest in hair donation has come to our attention; and, as much as we'd love to take things to the next level, for now, we feel that it is best to slow down for a little while.
Our volunteers have worked very hard in the past few months, and we're all students with busy schedules, and in between managing the page, answering calls and messages and receiving donations (and then sending packages periodically to The Little Princess Trust), things have become more hectic than when we started out.
We want to give our best to Hair for Happiness, as it is a project very close to our hearts. For that, we need some time.
**Effective immediately**, we will not be entertaining any more donations until further notice. If you have already made the cut, or mailed out your donation, it is alright; but please do refrain from opening any new windows for new hair donations for now. We are taking some time off in order to restructure ourselves (and our response systems) so as to ensure that Hair for Happiness functions at top form.
Once more, please be reminded, we are no longer open for new donations. Only ongoing cases will be accepted - that is, if you have reached out on this page anytime before this post has been published. We will revert on this page if and when we're back for more, so stay tuned if you're interested!

Hello Hello! This is Niharika Jadeja - almost three years ago my codependent cofounder Amatullah Vahanwala and I started Hair for Happiness with the modest goal of "bagging" five or so donations. Today, Hair for Happiness has grown far beyond either of our expectations, having collected around 300 donations, and set up chapters in Hyderabad and Mumbai as well :)
And we know for a fact that we would not have been able to do it without the support of this entire community. Whether you donated your hair, time, money or even just offered moral support, you are part of the reason we are where we are today, so thank you so much for helping us out :)
Amatullah and I are both in college now and unfortunately don't have all the time we'd like to give to this project. We handed the reigns over to Nachnani for a year, and she did a marvellous job of handling everything incredibly well - so thank you, , for helping Hair for Happiness grow even more :) is also off to college this year so we've been on the lookout for a new head for the Bangalore branch of HfH, and after numerous painstaking back-and-forths and discussions, we think we have found the perfect co-heads for our Bangalore chapter :)
