At Taamara, dance is not separate from life.
It sits in the way we learn, the way we grow, and the way we understand ourselves.
This International Dance Day, we find ourselves in the middle of something special —
preparing for our Chelanga Puja.
The studio has been alive with effort, laughter, corrections, and quiet focus.
Every step is becoming a little more aware, a little more rooted.
This is not just preparation for a performance.
It is a moment of becoming.

Before words, there was communication through gesture.
Dance remembers them.
Indian classical dance shaped these gestures into a language —
structured, defined, and deeply expressive.
They are called Mudras.
Also known as Hastas.

Conversations in Dance -
the usage of mudras (hand gestures) and Abhinaya (expressions) communicate the
subtle emotions of the heart,
Complex thoughts of the intellect and
the embodied cultural kinesics of entire communities.
When we watch more and more performances,
Expose ourselves to different art forms- we become aware and Involuntarily preserve the story, the actor and the art.
