In September 2024, my journey to Switzerland and Italy was realized. Our 12 day adventure started off in Grindelwald, Switzerland and took us through Interlaken and Lucerne. A few days in Lake Como and Milan Italy rounded it out. ✈️🇮🇹

But it was more than just a trip. It was a dream I had for 59 years. Visiting my grandfather‘s homeland was something I wasn’t sure would ever happen. As soon as I stepped foot on Italian soil, I was in love. It was everything I thought it would be and more. But seeing the spectacularly amazing and beautiful Duomo in Milan was the perfect ending of the trip. Tornerò a Milano e al Duomo!!!!

It’s crowded, it’s loud but it’s 100% my jam. When I was a kid I dreamt every day about living in New York City one day. Even though I never filled that dream, I still love going.  Do you have a place that is your jam?

It’s hard to believe that a week ago at this time I was in New York City for a fun weekend getaway. One of the highlights was going to see Hamilton which was one of my main goals in doing this trip. It was as advertised. We also got to see a musical called “Operation Mincemeat” which was not on my radar but so worth it! Do you have a city you love to visit? 🍎🌇

If you could hop on a plane tomorrow, where are you going? Last year we went to Switzerland and Italy. It was a dream trip but the part I loved so much was setting foot on Italian soil. My grandfather immigrated from Italy and I vowed to visit his homeland one day. This was me in that moment. Do you have a similar moment or dream?

Whoever said age is just a number was completely right. You’re allowed to reinvent yourself at any age. I am and I want everyone to feel empowered to do so. Let’s go!!!

Empty nest life: sometimes I miss the chaos, sometimes I love the quiet. If you are an empty nester what do you like about it?

Which makes you feel put together—mascara, blush, or lipstick? I have to admit that if I had only one item to take with me on a desert island it would be mascara!

What’s one skincare thing you wish you started earlier? For me it’s moisturizer. I always had breakouts as a kid and then some adult acne when I was having my own kids and I always thought that moisturizer would make my breakouts worse. I was really wrong. But I’m working on making up for that.
