There’s something hilarious about lifting weights…
You’re there counting reps like “8… 9… 10…”
But your muscles?
They’re already in survival mode at rep 5.
They don’t care about your ego.
They don’t care about your playlist.
They don’t even care that people are watching.
All they know is:
“WHY is this human doing this to us again?!”
And still… you push.
That last rep where your soul leaves your body?
That shaky, ugly, almost-fail rep?
That’s the one that actually changes you.
Not the easy reps.
Not the ones you flex in front of the mirror for.
It’s the ones where you question your life choices mid-set.
Gym is funny like that…
You walk in tired, stressed, overthinking everything—
And then you pick up a heavy piece of metal and suddenly your only problem is surviving 10 reps.
No overthinking.
No past.
No future.
Just you vs weight.
And slowly…
rep by rep…
panic by panic…
you build something stronger than muscles.
You build discipline.
You build confidence.
You build a version of yourself that doesn’t quit… even when everything inside is screaming to stop.
So yeah…
your muscles don’t count reps.
But they definitely remember the pain…
And they reward you for it later. 💪
7 months aren't that long if you locked in
Sounds cool… but let’s fix that last part.
It’s not ego — it’s discipline.
Because ego will make you load more weight than you can handle.
Discipline will make you control that weight with perfect form.
Ego will make you chase numbers.
Discipline will make you chase progress.
Lifting heavy is important — but only when your technique is solid. Progressive overload builds muscle, not random heavy reps with half range.
Eating healthy isn’t just about “clean food.”
It’s about eating enough protein, enough calories, and being consistent even on days you don’t feel like it.
And the third one? It’s not ego.
It’s patience.
Because real muscle takes months… years… not weeks.
You don’t grow in the gym.
You break down in the gym.
You grow when you recover — sleep, nutrition, consistency.
So focus on: • Full range of motion
• Controlled reps
• Progressive overload
• Proper recovery
• Staying consistent when motivation is gone
Anyone can lift heavy once.
Very few can stay consistent long enough to transform.
Drop the ego. Build the body
Is it only me ? 🥲
Any doubt?
