But there’s something about this picture that feels very me.
A little happy. A little dreamy. A little old-world.
Almost like a version of me with fewer worries and a little less noise around her.

People often ask me,
“How do you still look young?”

And yes, I do procedures. I’m an aesthetic dermatologist — of course I do. 😄
But I don’t think looking young has only to do with your face.

Maybe it’s also about how much you continue to enjoy life.
How easily you still laugh.
How quickly you let go of things that hurt.
How few gile-shikwe you choose to carry.
And whether, after everything life teaches you, there’s still a little bit of the dreamer left inside.

At 50, I don’t particularly want the face I had at 30.

I just hope I never lose the woman who could still hum a song for no reason…
smile at nothing…
and dream a little. ❤️

We went to Tel Aviv University, Israel for training in Hair Transplant in 2006. Me n Dr Kapil, my younger one was hardly 2 years old . This gentleman Alex Ginzburg ( Dr Alex Ginzburg) was gracious enough to let us both come n learn the latest techniques in Hair Transplant . FUE had just arrived , we mainly saw FUT ( so called Strip ) surgery and handful of FUE ….came back n started FUE in India ..v tough road when u don’t have anyone to guide u…ur mistakes are urs ..ur learnings are urs …U create a path where treading for others becomes easy later on…one thing has never changed from Day 1….we do what we promise and if we can’t do that we tell…the only agenda as Dr Kapil puts it was ..
‘We will sleep peacefully at night , will never do anything wrong in our own eyes ‘

My Core memory ..14 years ago… ❤️

Like most working mothers, I carried guilt.

Was I spending enough time with them?
Was I around enough?
Was work taking away from their childhood?

For years, I think I measured motherhood in hours spent together.

But looking back now, I realise…

Maybe I gave them much more than my time.

I gave them an example of hard work.
Of showing up.
Of building something from scratch.
Of falling, getting up and carrying on.
Of having dreams — even after becoming a mother.

And somewhere along the way, while I worried that I wasn’t giving them enough…

they were watching.

Today, when I see the young men they’ve become, I realise —

Children don’t only inherit what we give them.
They also inherit what they see us become. ❤️
