1.) *Naam Japo*-
Remember Waheguru in every venture you undertake. Guru Nanak led the Sikhs directly to practice Simran and Naam Japna- Meditation through reciting, chanting or singing Gurbani and always remembering Waheguru.

2.) *Kirat Karni*-
Earn your livelihood through hard-work and by honest means.
Guru Nanak expected the Sikhs to live as honourable householders and practice kirat karni to honestly earn by one's physical and mental effort whilst accepting both pains and pleasures as Hukum (Waheguru's/God's will)

3.) *Vand Chakna*-
To selflessly serve and share with others especially with those less fortunate than yourself. The Sikhs were asked to share their wealth within the community by practicing Vand Chakna- 'share and consume together'
