An honour to be invited as Faculty at CDSI Cosmoderma 2026, and an especially memorable academic experience to share the stage with Dr. Jean Carruthers, a pioneer in botulinum toxin and widely regarded as the “Godmother of Botox.”

We had the opportunity to exchange perspectives on injectables and the management of challenging cases—the kind of discussions that continually refine how we approach aesthetic medicine.

I was also invited to speak on the non-cosmetic applications of botulinum toxin in dermatology, followed by an advanced training session for dermatologists on botulinum toxin techniques for facial lifting and facial slimming.

For me, teaching is as much a responsibility as it is a privilege. Being able to share techniques, discuss clinical decision-making and learn from experts at the forefront of our field keeps us constantly evolving.

Because in aesthetic medicine, expertise is not just about performing a procedure—it is about knowing who needs what, where, when and, equally importantly, when not to treat.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the academic community and to bring that continued learning back to every patient I treat.
