Myth: It’s good that newborn may get infection’s exposure soon after birth as it strengthens the immunity of the baby.

Fact: It’s a fact that memory cells help the body recognize infection invading second time, making cells accustom to release the similar antibody next time saving newborn from any harm. But memory cells, T and B cells (for fighting with infection and to release antibodies) do not develop before 18 months of baby’s birth. Hence postnatal care of newborn is very much essential.

It takes some planning, but it is definitely worth it. When you're pregnant, it seems like it will go on forever. Though it passes very quickly and is soon a memory. Take steps to document changes that are occurring in your life right now, include your partner in all this. Have him jot down his feelings. Take his picture, too! You can look back and share the highs and lows together, and, in the years ahead, you and your kids will be glad you did.

Drink plenty of water

Drink water before, during, and after exercising. Otherwise, you can become dehydrated, which can cause contractions and raise your body temperature, sometimes to levels that are dangerous for you and your baby.
There's no official recommendation for how much water pregnant women should drink while exercising, a good guideline is to drink one cup (8 ounces) before you exercise, one cup for every 20 minutes of exercise, and one cup after you finish your workout. In hot or humid weather, you'll need more.

Be a proactive parent and keep the house ready before the little one arrives. Right from the baby furniture to walls, buggy to the bed railings; all touch surfaces should be made infection-proof as unseen but harmful microbes continue to thrive everywhere which can harm babies as their immunity is less than us.
