"Taking Up Space"
Some days, don’t we all feel like we’re taking up too much space? It’s something I used to fear—taking up space.
Why? Honestly, I never fully understood. But it always felt like claiming space could cost me something… maybe even my life. That fear, that doubt, held me back. And it did cost me. Not in the way I imagined, but in lost experiences, stolen moments of happiness, and the inability to live fully in the present.
I’ve always been a chubby, healthy kid, and “taking up space” meant enduring negative comments, taunts, and bullying. It wasn’t just about my physical presence. It felt like my existence was a burden, like I had to apologize for being me. The sad part? I began believing that I wasn’t enough—not even for myself.
Expressing how I felt? It seemed like a crime. Instead, I’d cry in secret and tell myself, “It’ll be okay.” But the wounds ran deep, like a tattoo etched into my soul. And unlike a tattoo, which eventually fades into normalcy, the pain still lingers.
I started seeking my worth in others' opinions. I became the “perfect” student, the “good” child—good grades, active in everything. And while those achievements were for my own benefit, I felt hollow inside. There was always this nagging voice whispering, “Sharon, this isn’t you.”
The truth is, it was me. But I was shrinking myself, living only to please others. I wasn’t claiming my own space.
Then, one day, I broke down. I cried—a lot. For someone who was terrified of taking up space, that day, I took up all the space I needed. And for the first time, it didn’t feel wrong. In fact, it felt empowering. Through the tears, I found strength I never knew existed.
That day, I realized something: taking up space isn’t a bad thing. It’s a necessity. It’s about being unapologetically YOU. You deserve to take up as much space as you need—because this world is yours too.
So, take up space with your voice, your presence, your dreams. Be bold, be seen, be heard. Never shrink yourself for anyone. You are worthy of every inch of space you occupy, and the world needs you in it, just as you are.✨🌻🧚♀️❤️

Is Wellness Only About Mind and Body?
We often hear that wellness is about maintaining a healthy mind and body. And while it's true—a healthy mind and body do bring out the best in your personal life—is that really enough for a complete, holistic life?
What about your social life?
A major determinant of your social life is your financial health, something that's often overlooked. You put in the effort at your 9 to 5 job, and spend your physical and mental energy commuting, working, and juggling tasks—all for a month's pay. But by the first week of the next month, your pockets are empty. Isn't that concerning?
I believe it is.
This is where financial wellness comes in. Your financial wellness doesn't just impact your bank account—it influences your happiness, your social interactions, and your overall life.
We've all heard the advice: "Save first." But how many of us truly know the right way to save? Many think they can spend first and save what's left. But in reality, saving works on a contrary principle. You should set aside a portion of your income for savings before you spend on anything else.
Decide on a margin—10%, 20%, or whatever feels right for you. Treat your savings as a non-negotiable expense. This habit will help you build a financial cushion, instil discipline, and give you a sense of control over your money.
Remember, wellness isn't just about the mind and body; it’s about financial health too. Prioritize all aspects of your well-being for a truly holistic life. 🌱💸

But should you only focus on mental detox? What about your body? What about those times when anxiety made you lose track of what you were eating, when your body was deprived of the beauty sleep it deserved, or the joy of movement it needed? 💤
Anxiety creates an illusion of comfort, but the consequences of that so-called comfort are borne by our bodies, bringing us right back to our worst. The unhealthy toxins build up, slowly killing us from the inside. It’s crucial to recognize this and take a stand.
🌱 Body Detox: By nourishing your body with clean, whole foods and staying hydrated—whether it’s through refreshing water or herbal teas—your body will thank you. It will flush out unwanted toxins, leaving you feeling rejuvenated. A clean body supports a clear mind, making it easier to face another day, treat yourself for being brave and strong, and for take on challenges, winning over the world. 💪

2023 was the year that changed everything for me. I hit peak depression, lost all hope, and gave up on myself completely. I stopped going to the gym, stayed in my room 24/7 (only going out for compulsory classes), and let life pass me by. My skin reacted badly with severe breakouts, I regained the weight I had lost, and I felt like I was just wasting away.
But as I started to climb out of that dark place, something crucial hit me—taking care of yourself isn’t just about physical health; it’s about nurturing your whole being. 🌱 It’s about finding balance, caring for your mind and body, and giving yourself the love and respect you deserve.
That realization was my turning point. Slowly, I began to rebuild, focusing on living fully from the inside out. Now, I’m on a mission to help others discover their own path to a balanced and fulfilling life.
