Skin or hair problems are not always just about your skincare or haircare routine.
Sometimes, underlying nutritional or hormonal factors can also play a role. Depending on your symptoms, a dermatologist may recommend blood tests such as Vitamin B12, Iron, Ferritin, Vitamin D, Thyroid, Testosterone, HbA1c, Insulin and Cortisol.
The right tests should be selected based on your symptoms, medical history and clinical evaluation. Do not get every test done without medical advice.
If you are experiencing persistent hair fall, excessive shedding, acne, pigmentation or changes in your skin, consult a dermatologist to understand the possible cause.

Monsoon weather can be tough on your skin—but the right routine can make all the difference.
Avoid these common mistakes:
• Skipping Sunscreen – UV rays can pe*****te clouds, so sunscreen is still essential.
• Overwashing Your Face – Washing too often can damage your skin barrier and cause irritation.
• Skipping Moisturizer – Humidity doesn’t replace hydration. Use a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer.
• Leaving Sweat & Rainwater on Your Skin – Gently cleanse your skin after getting wet to remove dirt, pollutants, and excess oil.
• Using Heavy Creams – Switch to lightweight, gel-based products to avoid clogged pores.
Small changes in your routine can help keep your skin healthy throughout the monsoon.

A Keloid is not just a normal scar.
When skin gets injured, the body produces Collagen to repair it. In some people, this healing response becomes overactive, causing scar tissue to grow beyond the original wound.
Even a small Cut, Acne, Piercing or Injection can sometimes trigger a Keloid in people who are prone to them. Genetics can also play an important role.
If your scar is Firm, Raised or Continuously Growing, don’t treat it like a normal scar. Get it evaluated by a Dermatologist.
Comment “YES” if you want to know more about Keloid Scars.

We often talk about our skin type and hair type, but how often do we pay attention to our scalp?
Scalp health matters just as much as hair care. Persistent itching, excessive flaking, redness, bumps or painful sores can sometimes indicate an underlying scalp condition that needs proper evaluation.
Don’t just cover the symptoms with products. Understand what your scalp is trying to tell you.

There can be many reasons why your underarms and private areas become darker. Friction, sweating, shaving, and repeated irritation can cause inflammation in the skin, leading to increased pigmentation. So, avoid harsh scrubbing, lemon, or random bleaching creams, as they can irritate your skin even more. Gentle cleansing, reducing friction, and the right treatment are much more important. If the skin on your neck or underarms looks thick and velvety, it could be associated with Acanthosis Nigricans. Want a guide on underarms and private-area pigmentation? Comment “YES”. For your skin concerns, visit Siyona Skin Hair and Aesthetic Clinic, Hiranandani Meadows, Thane West.

Do you really need a 10-step skincare routine?
Not necessarily.
Healthy skin starts with a strong skin barrier. It helps retain moisture and protects your skin from pollution, germs, and irritants.
However, overusing products, washing your face too often, or using strong acids and scrubs unnecessarily can weaken your skin barrier. This may lead to dryness, irritation, sensitivity, redness, and even breakouts.
For many people, a simple routine is enough:
• Gentle Cleanser
• Moisturizer
• Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen
The best skincare routine isn’t the one with the most products—it’s the one that’s right for your skin.
