Role of Fat to store energy for body. There are 3 types of fats. Bad fat-Saturated Fat (should be avoided), Good Fat-polysaturated fat (Omega 3 & 6) and monosaturated fat (nuts, olive oil and avacodos)
Omega 3 and Monosaturated fat are good fats and can be eaten in moderation. 1 gm of fat contain 9 Kcal. If your body ldeal Weight is 60 kg , you need 540 kcal from fat , i.e. 60 gm of Healthy Fat. We can not avoid intake of fat from our diet as vitamins A,D,E, K are fat soluble.
