瓦 (kawara), the traditional roof tile, laid one by one, each overlapping the last to shelter what lies beneath.

There's a quiet parallel here with how ETSU Gin is made: nothing rushed, nothing skipped. Botanical after botanical, layer after layer, until the whole holds together in perfect balance.

Some blooms only last a season. We built a cocktail around that idea.
Sakura Blooms pairs Etsu Sakura with cherry blossom-infused vermouth and red shiso syrup, finished with a whisper of rose bitters and a single petal on top.
Delicate on the eye, layered on the palate. Just like the flower it's named after.

On September 13th in Rome, nine bartenders from the ETSU Embassies network, ETSU Gin's community of partner bars across Europe, will gather for an invitation-only competition celebrating precision, balance and the art of Japanese hospitality.

An odyssey that begins behind the bar, and ends in Japan.

The shimenawa (注連縄) marks the boundary between the ordinary and the sacred. A rope woven with intention, hung with reverence. In Japan, nothing of meaning is left to chance.
