We thought we were just going out for lunch… then they told us to catch our OWN LIVE EEL! 😂🐍🔥
At Ilpyeon Eel (일편장어) in Hongdae, Seoul, the eels were swimming in a barrel—and somehow we had to grab them ourselves! 😳 Mackie was surprisingly strong and calm… I was NOT! 😂
From live eel → charcoal grill → lunch, this was definitely not an ordinary Korean BBQ experience!

Would YOU hold a live eel? 🐍😂

We enjoyed an incredible selection of dishes, including Awabi (Japanese abalone), foie gras, Ise Ebi (Japanese spiny lobster), and premium Wagyu—all prepared right in front of us by the chef.
The foie gras was one of the highlights, especially when the chef cooked it on the open fire! 🔥
And the Awabi was so delicious that we actually ordered it a second time! 😋
From the theatrical cooking to the beautifully presented dishes, this was more than just a meal—it was a memorable Tokyo experience shared with family and friends.

Discovering the Story Behind Japan’s Time ⏱️🇯🇵
We came across something really fascinating in the heart of Ginza—the Seiko Museum.
Walking through the museum felt like stepping back in time. We learned about the history of Seiko, how Japan’s watchmaking industry developed, and how technology transformed the way people measured and experienced time.
From beautiful vintage timepieces to the evolution of clocks and watches, every section told a story—not just about watches, but about Japanese craftsmanship, innovation, precision, and attention to detail.
What I loved most was realizing that something as ordinary as checking the time has such a fascinating history behind it.
✨ Travel tip: If you’re in Ginza and looking for something beyond shopping and restaurants, add the Seiko Museum to your list. It’s educational, beautifully presented, and a great way to discover another side of Japan.
Stepping back into Chile's rich past at the Museo Histórico Nacional right in the heart of Santiago! 🏛️ Central Post Office and Plaza de Armas surroundings always add that magical historical touch, but diving into the exhibits together made the day truly unforgettable.
Mouliē Chocolaterie’s standout tiramisu pairs velvety mascarpone cream with rich espresso-soaked sponge layers, finished with a heavy dusting of their premium cocoa that perfectly balances dark coffee intensity with smooth sweetness.
Sweeping through their entire display case alongside it meant enjoying their full array of hand-crafted chocolate bonbons—from hazelnut praline, salted caramel, and passionfruit ganaches to cocoa-dusted truffles, candied orange peels, and chewy Chilean calugas de leche.
Today, I learned that Yayoi Kusama has passed away at 97. 💔
Walking through her world of endless dots, mirrors, colors, and imagination was such an unforgettable experience. Her art felt playful and joyful on the surface, yet there was so much depth behind every piece. She created an entire universe that was unmistakably her own and she continued creating until her final days. She devoted her life completely to art and never stopped exploring love, infinity, life, and the human spirit.
I’m so grateful that we got to experience her museum in Tokyo and see her extraordinary vision in person. Some places become more special with time — and I know this visit will always be one of those memories for me.
Rest in peace, Yayoi Kusama. 🌸
Your dots may be infinite, but so is the legacy you leave behind. ♾️
I accidentally recorded only half of Mackie’s song, “Fade to Black by Metallica” because I thought I had pressed record. But apparently, I didn’t!
“Fade to Black” is definitely not an easy song to play, but Mackie did such an amazing job at his open mic! 🎸🎶👏 I’m so proud of him! 💖
How do you like his performance?
