Today was a powerful and impactful day for Kwale Albinism Network 🙌🏽
We successfully conducted a skin cancer awareness and screening outreach at Diani Health Center, reaching members of the albinism community with life-saving information and services. Participants received free skin cancer screening and essential assistive devices including sunscreen, lip balm, and other protective gear to help them stay safe under the sun.
Moments like these remind us why awareness, early detection, and access to protective resources are so important. We are proud to stand with the albinism community and remain committed to improving their health, dignity, and quality of life.
A big thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and made this outreach a success. Together, we continue to make a difference 💙

We are excited to share that we held a successful and highly productive meeting with potential partners
The engagement provided a valuable platform to highlight our work in supporting persons with albinism, especially in the areas of skin cancer prevention, awareness creation, and community empowerment.
We also had the opportunity to discuss the key challenges affecting our community, including limited access to sunscreen and healthcare services, stigma and discrimination, and the urgent need for increased awareness.
We are encouraged by the positive feedback, shared commitment, and willingness to collaborate towards creating a safer and more inclusive society for persons with albinism.
As we move forward, we remain committed to strengthening partnerships that will help us expand our impact and save more lives.
We sincerely thank everyone who took part in this important engagement. Together, we are making a difference.

Yesterday, Kwale Albinism Network successfully conducted impactful Skin Cancer Awareness Outreaches in Samburu and Mariakani.
During the outreaches, we:
✅ Offered free skin cancer screening services
✅ Provided sunscreen lotions and other protective essentials
✅ Educated participants on sun safety and early detection of skin cancer
People with Albinism remain at a higher risk of developing skin cancer due to prolonged exposure to harmful UV rays. Through these outreaches, we are taking proactive steps to promote prevention, early detection, and protection within our communities.
We are grateful to everyone who turned up, our dedicated health professionals, volunteers, and partners who made this initiative a success. Together, we continue to champion the health, dignity, and rights of persons with Albinism.
Let us keep spreading awareness — early screening saves lives!
