BARINGO NORTH: Armed bandits reportedly stole more than 50 livestock in Loruk, Baringo North, yesterday evening, raising tensions and threatening the hard-earned peace in the region.

According to area MCA Michael Chebon (Cherombor), Eight Armed bandits were sighted, drove away the livestock and forced a 13-year-old boy to accompany them for more than five kilometers towards the Paka Hills. The boy, however, managed to escape unharmed.

MCA Cherombor has raised concerns with Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen over the incident, expressing fears that many illegal fi****ms remain in the hands of locals in Tiaty Constituency.

He has called on security agencies to pursue the stolen livestock, apprehend the suspects, and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.

Reports has it that Ngiriambu Girls senior school in Gichugu, Kirinyaga has been released to go home after rumours of unease situation in school feared to result to strike! The situation on ground is yet to be confirmed but parents have received messages from the school.

A fire broke out at one of the boys' dormitories at Alliance High School early this morning at around 4:00 AM.

Firefighters responded swiftly and managed to contain the blaze, preventing further damage. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not yet been established.

Juliet Munene a teacher based in Lanet Nakuru, has been plunged into mourning after losing her only daughter Linah Juliet, in the dormitory fire at Utumishi Girls School that claimed the lives of 16 students.

After an agonizing search at the school and nearby hospitals, the family was unable to locate Linah. They are now awaiting DNA test results to confirm and identify her remains. Deepest condolences and prayers go out to the family, friends, and the entire school community during this heartbreaking time.
